Anthony Thompson died in the Brooklyn Home for Aged Colored People yesterday. He was born a slave at Paterson, NJ 98 years ago. When he was 16 years old he ran away and gained his freedom by reaching a town at the end of Long Island. He lived for very many years in the old town of New Utrecht.
