M. Adams and family, who spent a week or two at their country home at Glen Cove, after closing their city house, have gone to Egypt. Their home at Glen Cove is being almost completely torn down, and will be entirely remodeled. It was one of the first houses built In the Red Spring Colony. Mrs.

Although the weather was not favorable, the Deutsch-Amerlkanische Schuetzen Gesellschaft, N. the Manhattan Schuetzenbund, the German United Societies of New York and the D. K. U. V.

were largely represented. The first prize for bowling was won by Frank Dorn. The affair was in charge of H. Gutmann, president; W. Franz, secretary; Fred Hof, treasurer.

The women's society of the Brooklyn Saengerbund will hold Its annual outing at Kirchhuber's, Avenue and Ocean Park avenue, to-morrow. The special attraction will be a prize bowling contest. Sergeant George Charleton, of the Sixty-fifth precinct police station, who has been for the past few weeks seriously ill with scarlet fever, at his home, 568 Nostrand avenue, has resumed his duties at the Brownsville station. Misfortune did not come singly to Sergeant Charleton, for his three children were taken down with scarlet fever, complicated by diphtheria. All three are now on the road to recovery, however.

The Gamma Delta Phi Fraternity of the Manual Training High School brought their social season to an end last Saturday with the most successful trolley ride, dinner and dance they have as yet given. Despite the inclemency of the weather they traveled to the Astoria Hotel at Far Rockaway. More than sixty of the excursionists gathered at the Flatbush avenue depot of the Long Island Railroad, where their special car was attached to the Jamaica train, leaving at 4:30. Upon their arrival at Jamaica, where several additional members joined the party, a special trolley car was boarded and the Far Rockaway trip resumed. Within a short time after the hotel was reached a most excellent dinner was served.

When the cigar stage was reached there was an interchange of good wishes in behalf of the numerous fraternities whose representatives were present. Recourse was then had to the ballroom, wnere dancing was enjoyed for the three succeeding hours. The delightful ride home was a fitting close to one of the most enjoyable of the fraternity's social events. It was made evident that it requires more than mere dampness to quell the merry spirit of the Manual girls and boys. Among those present were Misses Albee, Buttner, Bonner, Burkhartlt, Figge, Gethen, Halleran, Hamion, jvenney, ing Nathan, Nicholson, uoyu.urr.oiiauu, Sharp, Seelman, Stillwell, Steinek, Suhr, Wallander, Tredwell, Wilson, Mrs.

The clubhouse of the Pratt Institute Club, at 210 Grand avenue, was informally opened yesterday. From 10 o'clock, in the morning till 11 last night students visited their new home and took advantage of the various forms of amusements that It affords. The idea of the club was first suggested by the trustees of the institute. They sought to bring together the members of the alumni association and the students, in social intercourse.

James Edwin Pearson, who is now acting as secretary and manager of the club, and four Instructors of the institute, were selected to get ideas for the new clubhouse. Two three story and basement brownstone houses were purchased. They were cut through and renovated at a cost of $25,000. The floors are of maple wood. In the basement there are bowling alleys and a large kitchen.

The reception room, the reading room and the wardrobe are on the first floor. On the third floor is a capacious entertainment hall that will seat 150 persons. This will also be used for dancing. The club will be formally organized in the fall. The membership will probably reach 000.

At last night's meeting of the entertainment committee of the United at Arion Hall, Adam Fehlet, second vice president, in the chair, it was decided that the United Singers' parade to Fulton next Saturday, shall consist of two sections, the first comprising the East New York societies, which will assemble at Cooper Hall, Bushwick avenue and Cooper street; Marshal, Hermann Zeydel, and his assistant, Dr. Karl Maisel. The second section, the Williamsburg Division, will assemble at Arion Hall and will be marshaled by Herman Han and Albert Nabert. Both sections will leave their headquarters at 4:30 P.M. and meet at Greene and Bushwick avenues.

From there they will be escorted by a band, under Grand Marshal Adam Fehmelwill, and march to the elevated station at Myrtle and Tompkins avenues. At the bridge, the parade will be met by the South Brooklyn societies, and together they will proceed to Fulton Ferry. From Jersey City a special train will convey the singers to Newark. After enjoying the work of the little babies, they adjourned to the parade ground, where the girls went through a musical dumb-bell drill. The programme of the day ended with a parade by the Asylum Band and Cadet Corps; the cadets under Major Boyce and the band led by Mr. Egner did splendidly and received great applause and commendation from the invited guests. A special feature, both novel and pleasing, was a drill by the Lilliputian Brigade, composed of boys of about 8 years old.
