in Society. The Week Mrs. Luckenbach to Entertain for Her Daughter-in-Law On Friday evening, the twenty-eighth of April, Mrs. Edward Luckenbach will give a dance at the Heights Casino for her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.

J. Lewis Luckenbach (Katie-bel McGregor), whose marriage took place in San Francisco, in January. Although Mrs. J. Lewis Luckenbach had visited in Brooklyn before her marriage, there are many who have not met her and the dance has been arranged to enable Mrs.

Luckenbach's friends to the bride. Mr. Charles J. Werner to Marry Miss Haberle. In February Mr.

and Mrs. George W. Kavanaugh of Manhattan and Syracuse announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Leonora Haberle, to Mr. Charles J. Werner, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Luther M. Werner of 190 New York Avenue. Now comes news of the wedding, which is to take place on Saturday afternoon, the twenty-ninth of this month, at 667 Madison Avenue, Manhattan, the residence of the bride's parents. Mrs.

1 The Players in "Lady Huntsworth's Experiment Miss Suzanne Everett Throop, a new member of the company, is to play the title role in the performance of "Lady Huntsworth's Experiment," to be given by The Players in the auditorium of the new Central Y. M. C. A. building, Hanson Place, on Thursday evening, the twenty-seventh.

On the professional stage the role has been taken by Gertrude Elliott and by Hilda Spong, but it is by no means a dominant part, the burden of carrying the piece being very evenly divided among the characters. Miss Bertha Stock-well has a character part in which she is certatin to shine; Mr. John Taylor Arms plays the role of the hero, and Mr. H. Beale Spelman will play the role of the villain, not villainously as we were about to say, but doubtless with all the consummate art with which he has enacted clerical and exemplary roles.

Mr. Lawrence H. Shepard has developed an inimitable comedy spirit in the role of a man servant, and Miss Cecilia Brewster, cast for an ingenue part, cannot fail to lend personal charm to it. The stage facilities at the Y. M.

C. A. are superior to any that The Players have enjoyed before and the labor of shifting scenery should thus be greatly facilitated so that there should be no long waits. Guest tickets for this performance may be obtained by members from the treasurer, Mr. Gomer H.
