Dr. Shepherd was sent for and now at work on the body. This proposes au Increase of in the salaries of the superintendent, inspectors and captains, and Increases the others in proportion. It does not, however, touch the salaries of tho pollco suraeons, drill captain and fire marshal.

Tho highest' salary now paid to patrolmen Is $1,000, and when first appointed thoy receive $750. Lawyer Georgo F. Fowler made a closer examination ol Mr. Homeyer's wound.
