I WHITE lit Is sitnated in one of the most beautiful spots in pictnresqne Sullivan County, with, rolling bills and mountains In the distance. It owes its name to the whiteness of tne sandy shores and bottom, and tite clearness aad purity of its water. White Lake, tbe largest in the county, is situated 1,650 feet above sea level.

The atmosphere is dry and bracing, always clear and cool. The chief sources of amusement are boating, bathing, trout and bass fishing, tannis and dancing. Lovers of wheeling or driving tlnd many pleasant rides about the Late. White Lake Post Office is on the south side, and Kauneonga P. the north.

Take Ontario and Western to Liberty, or Erie R. R. to Monticello. Both railroads sell tickets and check through to hotels. A line of stages connects with all trains, or parties will be mot by private conveyances when notice is given.
