The imports of dry goods at the port of New York this week were valued at $3 021,226, to 10 points decline as compared with yesterday's closing prices. The heavy offerings were readily absorbed by European buyers who took a good deal of coffee for distant delivery. Under this ready absorption of the coffee offered, prices made some gain from the opening.

The receipts at primary ports were large, warehouse deliveries were small and the street market for spot coffee was lower, but these bear points were offset by the foreign buying. The sales made during the forenoon included March at 6.65; May, 6.60 to 6.65; July, 6.65 to 6.70; September, 6.75 a6.S0; October, 6.75; November, 6.75a6.80; December, 6.95a97, and January, 7.05. There was a sale of 6,000 bags Rio No. 7 coffee to arrive by the Grecian Prince at 8 1 16 cents late yesterday. The Havre market opened off but rallied franc.

Hamburg closed with a net loss of Yi to pfg. The stock of coffee in Havre is 1,758,000 bags, including 1,416,000 Brazilian, compared with 1,767,000 bags last week, including 1,435,000 Brazilian. The official cables from Rio to the Coffee Exchange were as follows: Rio No. 7 exchange standard, 9S725; exchange, 8 7 1 6d; receipts at Rio, 23.000 bags; Rio stock, 225.000 bags; Santos receipts 10,000 bags; stock at Santos, 400.000 bags; clearances from Rio for United States, 7,000 bags, and for Europe 1,000: good average Santos, 9 300. There Was a Moderate Trade in Com at Steady Prices The Western Move merit Continues Large. The wheat market was weak and lower this morning, being influenced again by very large shipments from the Argentine. The total this week was 2,856,000 bushels, being the largest week's shipment the season, exceeding last week's by 500,000 bushels, and being more than double last year. The exports tor the season have been 11,977,000 bushels, against 5,552,000 bushels last year. As the exports for the season last year were the largest on record, and as the exports to date have been double last year's, it naturally has a depressing influenceon the market, whether warranted or not.

The Danubian exports for the week were 59,000 bushels. The English markets were quiet and a little lower early, rallying later, while the Paris markets were up equal to lc. per bushel. The foreign houses were moderate buyers on the decline at the opening and this tended to steady the market here. The reports from the West were not decided as to the effect of the recent storm, but the government weather bulletin says that there has been an absence of snow protection during the month, so that the crop is in much less favorable condition at the end of February than at the end of January.

The damage is mainly in the Ohio Valley, but to some extent in Missouri and Kansas. The Pacific reports are quite favorable. Wheat was stronger in tbe afternoon on seme covering and rumors of damage to the French crop. Bradstreet exports were 3, 563,387 bushels. The close was quiet.

Exporters took 35 loads, showing a better trade. The trade in corn was moderately active, prices ruling about steady during the morning. The reports from the West showed a fair movement of corn at the interior, while the demand is still light. The foreign mar kets were dull and lower, and foreign orders are not very satisfactory. Argentine exports for the week were 392.000 bushels, making 3, 611,000 bushels for the season.

The exports from the Danube were 80.000 bushels. Curn was quiet late and about steady. Shippers took 15 loads. Bradstreet's exports were 4,533,000 bushels. The trade in oats was very quiet, and the market showed a steady tone again.

Buying was scattered. Oats were quiet late and about steady. In hog products there was a general decline In prices during tbe morning. The market was moderately active, rallying later. Live hogs were lower, and future prices were influenced somewhat by the decline In hogs.

The statement of stocks showed a gain in most of the important articles. The Chicago stocks were: Mar. 1, Feb. 1. Mar.
