Why does not Harry Wright have a little independence and visit Jersey City, taking the National Club Guarantee, and not be bound by tho Boss' terms? A Nice "Littlb Game." The fraternity are not generally aware of the fact that tho Saule coup d' etat was concocted one of tho Bulfalo managers, and Saule and Hulbort at a meeting hoid while the ChicagoB were last in Buffalo, but it turns out to be the fact. The arrangement was made by the trio in question, so that Saule could play his team In League matchos, and Hulbert could still have his McKlnnon tiocrce hold good, the Buffalo man consenting because ho would get a good paying match out of it at Rochester. Tho "Boss" does not hesitate to descend to any low scheming, so that he ban carry out hiB pet plan of 'breaking up tho National concern," and injuring the rival association of tho Western League.

His idea was simply to disband another National club team, and this he did with Saulo's assistance, as the National Eochestera were at once disbanded aftor the last Buffalo and Hop Bitters match. The whole thing was simply "whipping the devil round a Btump," as thero Kfaa JUBt as much legal objection to any jueague nlno playing the new Rochester team as there was their playing tho other. Both wero under tho same manager, and both had players who had taken part in gamos with the other team. Tho ways of the "Bobb" are queer. The Rochester man, howover, haa outmanou Tered him this time, vory badly.
