D. FRIDAY EVENING, JUNE 26. The Regatta of the Brooklyn Yacht Club. The Regatta yesterday was one of the most successful, in every sense, that the Brooklyn Yacht Club have ever held. We reported the proceedings yesterday up to the starting of the boats, which occurred at 13:49 P.

M. The weather Iwas beautiful the waters of waters of the Bay were as smooth and unruffled as the surface of a mirror there was a gentle southeast breeze, sufficient to cool the air, nd till the sails of the competing craft. The Laura, the Commodore, and the Nonpa reil took the lead at the start and kept together, the Laura lending until the first stake boat was turned, when the Commodore met with an accident, breaking her mast short off. The other two boats maintained their relative position on the home stretch, the Laura coming in first, fol lowed in order by the Nonpariel, Favorita, L. POLICE, High Times in a Imager Beer Saloon A Number of German Women Make a Descent on a Beer Garden to take their Husbands Out They Pitch the Bar Keeper out of the Window and make a Big Row Generally. The case of Mary Starke, Henry Lever, Adolpli Fes' ler, Catherine Lever, Jacob Lever, Adam Hoffman, an 1 Lena Hoffman, who wore arrested last week on a charge of assault, prelerrcd agniiiBt thciSf by Phillip ISrinkmun and bis wife, who keep a Lager Beer Saloon at No. 2 Hamilton avenue, was tried this morning before Jus iice Boerum. The affair took place on Monday the lOthof June, when the male defendants were at Brink man's saloon imbibing lager and listening to the dulce strains of an accordeon.

Mrs. Lever. Mrs. Starke, and Mrs. Hoffman had for some lime before been of th opinion that Brinkman's saloon was a great nuisance in the neighborhood and ought to be abolished, and on this particular evening they held a meeting and resolved to go in a body and take their liege lords out of it by force.

Having come to this determination they started for the saloon, after having first fortified themselves against any feminine weakness, by copious libations of foaming lager. When they got to the saloon their beettcr halves were all engaged in dancing. The women held a couueil of war and it was resolved that Mrs. Starke should go in first and make a reconnoisance and tee how things stood. Mrs.

S. entered and was met at the door by Mrs. Brinkerhoof, who was acting as picket guuad at the door. Mrs. i.

asked for the password which Mrs. S. gave by inserting her digits In Mrs. Briaker nian's capillary, covering and causing her to describe eccentric circles around the floor, and the result was a gei.eral row in which chairs, timiulers, glasses, flew around promiscuously until the arriv.il of a detic'mieut of police from tbe43lh precinct who took the parties all into custody. The following was the evidence in the ca6e.

Mary Starke, Hamilton avenue near Court street was the first witness examined, and testified that on the day of the assault, she went int Mrs. Brinkman's lager bier tuloon to gel bi husband out; when she got to tlio store the found ail those inside engaged in a iVce fight: witucps look hold of her husband to take him out. when Mrs. Brinkman cried out to her, you got out of" here and then knocked her down; witness struck back and then another womau took her out of the store. The eomplattit Mrs. Brinkman was dismissed. Dcpiavity in the Eastern District A Tamily Conspiracy to Ruin a Young Girl. Ontlie25tu Instant the ease of Sarah Middle ton against Jeffrey a grocer, camo up for a hearing before Justices Colahau and Walter. The girl, not yet sixteen years old, swears, and in a manner strengthening the truth of ber testimony, that in August last she went to sleep with the niece of Sullivan, one Julia Hayes, aud Unit during the eveaing she was drugged by Sul'ivan.

and on "awaiting found thatlier ruin Mid been effected. On relating her troubles to the oicic subsequently, the latter remarked that it was nothing much, und that ber uncle had served her the same way. From this lime the girl gradually lost her elf respect and from a virtuous young woman became hogenen us of her favors as to throw doubts on the paternity of a child in prospective. The person charged brings his own son and his nephew to prove the bad character of the girl, and by their evidence a most disgusting picture of depravity is shown. As the evidence was contradictory, the Justices did not agree, and Justice Walter immediately thought that Sullivan was not the father of child to be born within a month.

Justice C'olalian reseivcd his decision until yesterday, when he spoke of the unseemly hasto of Justice Waiter as follows; "When this case was submitted to this Court on Thursday last, 1 considered it one (but perhaps that was owing to my obtuse intellect) which required a little deliberation and reflection, and in which I expected much enlightenment from my associate (Justice Walter) whon we should come to talk the mattee over, should I unfortunately differ with him in my opinion. In this I have been disappointed and deprived of bis invaluable aid in enabling me to como to a correct conclusion as by his genius and acute intellect he was enabled to announce ot once, without at all consultiag me, that his mind was made up, that Mr. Sullivan was not the father of the child. I could not see the case in that light quite so clearly as to justify me in so hastily coming to that conclusion. I then so stated, and that 1 should reserve my opinion until this day at 2 o'clock, tkat I might review the testimony, and if possible render a correct decision.

The Justice then reviewed (lie testimony, and gave as his opinion that Jeffery Sullivan is the father of the child. The man Sullivan ought not to get off in any way, for if at Ihe time this girl was drugged she had brought a charge of rape under the aggravated circumstances, her evidence as already given would have sent him to the State Prison for more than ten years. The only real testimony brought against the girl is that she was "bold like and saucy." The matter will now have to be reheard by two other Justices, or by the County Judge. Our Opera House.
