SHERIFF'S SALES. SEWERAGE. CORFORATIOy NOTICES. INSURANCE CONCURRENT RESOLUTIONS TO AMEND the Constitution relative to the Judiciary the State. the Assembly concur.) That the following: amendments be proposed to the Constitution of this Stat From and after the third Tuesday of June, eighteen hundred and sixty, the Court of Appeals shall consist of six judges, to be chosen by the electors of this State, The four judges who may then be in office, by previous election or appointment Bhall continue to hold untfl the expiration of their respective terms.

On the third Tuesday of May, eighteen hundred and sixty, on election shaU be held, at which two judges of said Court shall be chosen, whose terms shall commence on the third Tuesday of June eighteen hundred and sixty. The term of one of them shall expire in nine years from the thirty first day of.December following, and of the other In eleven years from the same time. At the general election in the year eighteen hundred and sixty one, and in every second year thereafter, unless the Legislature shall, by law, appoint a different day, one judge of said court shall be chosen for a term of twelve years from and after the thlrty urst day of December next after such election. Four Judges shall constitute a quorum. In case of the absence or inability to serve, of any judge or judges, the governor may appolntoneormorejustlces of the Supreme Court to serve for the time being.

Section seven of article six of the Constitution is hereby abrogated, and the following provision substituted The judges of the Court of Appeals and the justices of the Supreme Court shall recelvcat stated times, for their services a compensation, to be established by law, and which shah not be Increased or diminished at less intervals than once in six years; the provision made for such compensation, by act of the Legislature, in the year eighteen hundred and fifty seven, Bhall apply to judges andjustices then in ofiice, as well as those thereafter elected or appointed, and the same shall be deemed to have taken effect accordingly from the first day of January, eighteen hundred and fifty eight. Section fourteen of article six of the Constitution Is amended as follows: The County Court shall have such original and appellate jurisdiction as the legislature may prescribe. Resolved, (if the Assembly concur,) That the foregoing amendments he referred to the Legislature to be chosen at the next general election of senators, and that the same be published for three months prior to such election, purauan to section one of article thirteen of the Constitution. Resolved, (if the Senate concur,) That section one of article two of the Constitutien of this State be amended, by striking out the following words: "But no man of color, unless he shall have been for three years a citizen of this State, and for one year next preceding any election, shall have been seized and possessed of a freehold estate, of the value of twojhun dred and fifty dollars, over and above all debtsUand incumbrances charged thereon, and shall have been actually rated and paid a tax thereon, shall be entitled to vote at such election. And no person of color shall be subject to directtaxa tlon, unless he shall be seized and possessed of such real estate as aforesaid." (if the Senate concur,) That the foregoing amendment be referred to the Legislature to be chosen at the next oeneral election ofsenatnrs, and that, in conformity to section gne of acticle thirteen of the Constitution, It be published for hree months previous to the time of such election. The above provisions of the ordinances will be rigidly enforced against all offenders.
