There was a long line of carriages, some, sixty in number, which followed the remains to their final resting plase. Among those present were a number of the members of the corporation, and citizens prominently known in the community, besides the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, of which deceased was a member. The services were conducted by Rev. Mr.

Welsh, who delivered a fine and impressive discourse. Thb Wetchester County Pore Milk Association has established a depot at tho corner of Fulton and Middagh streets, where they will supply the pure article to all customers. The recent exposures of the swill milk business will render this announcement a matter of rejoicing lo our citizens. We have seen a circular of the Association signed by a large cumber of farmers in Westchester, Dutchess and Putnam Counties, certifying that they iurnish the Association with pure milk. Excellent references are also given.

On Saturday the Association paradod Brooklyn and New York with wagons and music, and inaugurated pure milk by a triumphal march. Five young men belonging to Greenpoint went out for a tall, to try a new boat. They crossed to Now York and were returning, when a sudden squall struck the boat and capsizsd her. Tney were immediately in front of the Greenpoint ferry, and a great number of perrons witnessed the accident. The ferry boat then in the slip La3tened to their relief, and a number of small boats mad direct for the spot, but were only in time to save of the men tho others sunk before help could reach them. The names of the two men saved are William Hayes and George Wheeler, the former a ship caulker, the latter a ship carpenter.

Those drowned are John Roes, foreman of Mr. Edward Williams' shipyard, Greenpoint Jeremiah Elliot, ship carpenter in the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Charles Bassett, boat builder in the employ of Mr. William Byles The melancholy event has thrown quite a gloom over the community of Greenpoint, among whom the unfortunate men were held in the highest esteem and regard. Mr. Bees was tho only married man in the party, and the terrible accident has plunged an interesting family into the deepest affliction.
