Tlie Warner Divorce Case. Sarah E. Warner vs. Augustus J. Warner.

This case has been reported in full in tho Eaqle. has attracted ranch attention. Mrs. Warner apolied last week for alimony duringthe litigation. Her claims tested on the alleged cruelty and neglect of her husband to provide for her.

To rebut this charge a series oflelters from her to her husband were introduced. The following was Ihe order made by Judge Lott: "Motion so far granted as to order 75 to oe paid by defendant to the plaintiff's attorney within twenty days after the service of a copy of this order on his attorney, but denied so far as alimony is asked. The letters of the plaintiff set forth in the defendant's affidavit are so inconsistent with the averments in her application during the period referred to as to render it improper in my opinion to grant temporary alimony." Concobd, N. July 20. A fire at Concord, N. last night, destroyed prop, erty belonging to the Northern Railroad to the amount of $250,000. Tbe fire was first discovered in a wood Bhed near the round house, which contained nine or ten engines, only two of which were removed.

Tho flameB communicated to the adjoining machine shop, about two fliths of which was consumed. At this point it was checked by a brick and iron wall. On the other side It swept through the long woodshedB and communicated to the new bridge across the railroad track and to another woodshed filled with wood, all of which were totally consumed. The insurance on the property was about $123,000, in ten differeni com. panies.

The Diffeence Color Makes We find the following paragraph singularly enough in the Tribune. Comment is unnecessary "When General Bragg was defending a United States fort against a terrible attack tne Mexican war, a negro servant made hiB escape from the danger, fled to the Mexican lines and joined the Mexican service. Now General Bragg is disfranchised, and tho negro servant is one of the Board of Registration for the County of Mobile." Coroner's Inquest on the Sixteenth Waed Suicide. Coroner Smith yesterday afternoon held an impiest on the body of the German, C. J. Weber, 22 yeais oIJ, who hung himself yesterday morning in his apartment, at 10 Wyckoff street, E.

The manner in which the deed of self destruction was managed indicates his having brooded over the coming event, and made sure of his course being effectual in producing the desired result. He was found by a servant, hung np with a long woolen scarf fastened to the noil used for (he looking glass, which he had displaced, and his person entirely destitute of clothing. Weber was a native of Esslingen, Wurtemberg, where his parents still reside, and it is supposed that on the recent retirement of his father from an extensive business, and the consequent distribution of patrimony to his children, he was overlooked in this particular. However it may be, he uttered no complaint, nor assigned a single reason for his rash act. Three witnesses, occupants of the same house, were examined, and but one of them knew any fact bearing on the subject.

rl his one, a fellow boarder named Conrad Meir, said Weber told him, two days before, that his father was dying, and had made over all his property to a dauehter, leaving Weber nothing. After a short deliberation, the jury returned a verdict in accordance with the facts above stated. Amusements. The Park Theatre Close op the Season. The closing performance of the season was given at the Park Theatre last evening.

The closing of the house was rather abrupt, owing to the illness of Mrs. Conway, who had intended to appear once more to wind up the season with some edaU The season just closed commenced September 1st, and extended to forty six weeks. On the whole the season was successful and, we believe, profitable, though not artistically brilliant. The company comprised several artists of decided ability, but it was incomplete and weak in some important respects. Such a result, however, is not always the fault of a manager, who sometimes cannot secure the talent he desires.

Mr. and Airs. Conway themselves worked hard, and relied on their own efforts and the support of the regular stock to carry the season through, the only star engagement in the regular season was that of Mrs. D. P.

Bowers. Mr. and Mrs. Watkins made the success of the Summer season. The theatre will open again on the 31st of August, giving a recess of six weeks.

Wo believe we express the general sentiment of the Brooklyn public, for whose entertainment Mrs. Conway his labored so long and so faithfully, hoping that she may profit in health by the brief rest she has accoraed to herself, and realize all the pleasure that change of scene and relaxation from the cares of business can bring.
