WilliamWhite, James R. Thomas Troy Dies In Hospital at 82; Old Minstrel Star Emerged From Retirement to Appear on Radio-Ran Borough Theaters Thomas F. Troy. 82. old-time the-' atrlcal man known to the profession as T.

F. Thomas, died of pneumonia today in French Hospital, Manhattan. He had been ill since Jan. 28. In recent years Mr.

Troy had lived In retirement with his family at his home. 235 Balnbridge St. He emerged this season, however, to appear three times on the radio program, "Echoes of New York Town," participating- as a performer and adviser on the tunes of his day. His last appearance was on Jan. 24.

In his long association with the theater, Mr. Troy played In minstrels and variety and also was a broncho-pneumonia. Rev. C. T.

Fischer Dies in 65th Year; Was Church Head Pastor of Evangelical Church Will Be Buried Thursday in Baltimore The Rev. Oustav T. Fischer, 84, of 195 Nichols pastor of the Evangelical Church of Peace and former district superintendent of the Atlantic Conference of the Evangelical church, died yesterday of complications resulting from a spinal operation. He had been 111 two months. Mr.

Fischer was born In Nurtin-gen, Germany, and came to this country when he was 10 years old. He studied at North Central College and Evangelical Biblical Seminary, both in Naperville, 111., and at Johns Hopkins and Temple Universities. He served in pastorates In Philadelphia. Baltimore and Queens Village before coming to Brooklyn in 1933. He served as district superintendent for four years, retiring a year ago because of his health.

Funeral Tomorrow Surviving are his widow, the former Augusta Buchtenkirch, and three children, Theodore, Ethel and Herbert Fischer. Funeral services will be held at 8 McArdle, John Wikander, Elin McCue, Catherine Zahn, Frank ACANTHUS LODGE No. 719, P. at A. M.

Root, who was 91, had been the second oldest living alumnus of the college and the last living graduate of the class of 1864. He also was senior member of the board of trustees.

The Right Rev. Edward H. Coley of Utica, Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Diocese of Central New York, officiated. Ushers were Wallace B. Johnson, registrar, and Prof.

Robert Barnes Rudd, together with members of the Pentagon Society, senior class honorary society to which Root belonged. Following the services, the heavy bronze casket was borne to the family plot in the college cemetery near the campus. Undergraduate mf mbers of the sigma Phi Frater nity, of which Root was a member, acted as pallbearers. Services Today For Mrs. Collins Lynbrook, L.

Feb. 9. Funeral services were to be conducted this afternoon for Mrs, Lydla Collins, 79, a long-time resident of the village, who died Saturday night in her home at 163 Hempstead Ave. She was the widow of Dr. George W.

Collins, physician and lawyer, and was born in East Rockaway, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ellsha Brower, a pioneer family In this section of Long Island. She passed her girlhood in East Rockaway. 8he moved to Lynbrook, when the community was known as Pear-sail's Corners.

Mrs. Collins had lived In the Hempstead residence since 1911, and since the death of Dr. Collins 12 years ago, a niece, Mrs. Bertha Clark, has lived with her, Mrs. Clark Is the only near relative surviving Mrs.

Collins. The services this afternoon was to be conducted by the Rev. Oeorge Wilson, pastor of Bethany Congregational church, East Rockaway, and will be private. Burial will be in Hicksvllle cemetery here. FORECLOSURES 8UPREMI COURT.

Although his Interest In the building was valued at 842.204, there was a mortgage of 1142,000 on the building held by the estate of Max Simon, his brother. Two-thirds of the estate was left to his widow, Betsy, with the other third to be divided equally among their three children, Braun Estate 140,833 Rudolph Braun, who died Aug. 13, 1936, at his home, 1337 Elmore Place, left a gross estate of and a net estate of $40,833 49.

Principal items of the estate were stocks and bonds, the bulk of which were left to his widow, Frances. Edward Brennan, who died Oct. 22, 1936, at his home, 2336 E. 16th left a gross estate of $22,988.78 and a net estate of $20,012.78. Principal Items were real estate holdings In the vicinity of his home.

The estate was left In equal shares to four children. Joseph Turano, who died Jan. 16, 1936, at his home, 44 E. 2d left a gross estate of $15,423.89 and a net estate of $13,684. Cash In a bank account and a part ownership in the Turano Fur Shearing Company, of Manhattan, were the principal assets.

His widow, Nunzlata, was left trn bulk of the estate, with five children sharing the residue, $11,294 Left by Welner Selig Welner, who died Oct. 17, 1936, left a gross estate of $15,632.43 and a net estate of $11,294.52. Real estate was the principal item, and the legatees were five children. Theodore Arlinsky, who died Nov. 8.

1936, left a gross estate of $25,500 and a net estate of $8,718. The major asset was a house at 214 Scholes valued at $24,609, on which there was a mortgage of The estate was left in equal shares to three children. MRS. B. Meyrowltz, in New York. He was a veteran of Company Seventh Regiment, Manhattan, and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maude Peters Parsons; two sons, and a sister. Grace E.

Jeffries, Teacher, Is Dead Grace Elizabeth Jeffries, a teacher at P. S. 47, 3d and Flatbush died yesterday In the Shore Road Hospital. She was born In Brooklyn 59 years ago, a daughter of the late Louis H. Vogel and a niece of William H.

Vogel. founder of William H. Vogel it Bon, tinware man ufacturing firm In Williamsburg. Mrs. Jeffries was a member oi Amaranth Rainbow court, Order of the Eastern Star.

She was the widow of Joseph Jeffries. Surviving are a son, Joseph; two sisters, Gertrude and Mrs. Elsie Smith, and a brother, Louis Vogel. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 8 p.m. at her residence, 9055 205th Hollls.

He was a special partner In the firm of Whitehouse Co. of the New York Stock Exchange with which he had been associated for half a century. Born in Fredericton, N. 67 years ago, Mr. Beekwith located in New York City when he was 14 years old.

'hlle living In Brooklyn he was a member of the 23d Regiment. From Brooklyn he moved to Bayonne and then to Rldgewood In 1922. He was a member of the Cashier's Stock Exchange Luncheon Club, Nautilus Club, the Elks and the Saddle River Golf Club. Surviving are his widow, Cornelia Beck- with, and two daughters, Mrs, R. G.

Brown and Mrs. J. T. Hiller. Arthur Millward Is Heart Victim Arthur Millward, 33, was found dead at 10:30 a.

m. today In an automobile in a garage at the rear of the house at 205 Rugby Rob. Dr. Romeo Auerbach, deputy medical examiner, said he had died of heart failure. The discovery was made by Arthur Howe, whd resides at the address.

The youth had lived with the Howes from 1916. when his mother died, until 1927, The Howes and Millwards had been Close friends. Recently the younR man had msde several visits here, the last Sunday, Mrs. Lulu Klein Funeral services for Mrs. Lulu Klein, 87, of 825 E.
