Although 83. he had been active in business and club affairs until the last. Mr. Davis mas a native of this town and a member of a family that had lived in Long Island for 300 years. Until 1907 he operated a 120-acre farm on the site of what is now the Port Washington Estates.

He was a director of the Port Washington National Bank and of the First National Savings and Loan Former Boro Woman Victim Madison High School and formerly a well-known basketball player. Mr. Barry was a member of the Holy Name Society for 50 years at various churches, beginning with St. Charles Borromeo. At the time of his death he was a member of the society of Holy Cross Church.

Until his retirement eight years ago he was employed as a clerk in the law office of Wendell P. Barker to Manhattan. He Is survived by two sons, William and Edward, and a daughter, Mrs. Sadie Wills. The funeral will take place Monday morning from his residence, thence to Holy Cross R.
