Veteran Veteran Printer 1 the son of Elizabeth Moore Haisted and Ezekiel Schurman Haisted. Mrs. Mattie Gregg Perkins, former Brooklyn concert singer, who was once known as the "second Jenny Llnd," died Monday at her home, 43-05 215th Bayside.

She was 85. Mrs. Perkins was a member of Freeport Man, 53, Active In Knights of Columbus Freeport, Jan. 23 John J. Monahan, building department inspector and for many years active in Knights of Columbus circles on Served Half Century, Retired Last Year John B.

Herrlin of 27-19 Ditmars Despit her age. Mrs. Perkins traveled considerably by herself until she fell and fractured her hip two years ago. She was the widow of Edward Clarence Perkins and is survived by two daughters. Miss Madelon Perkins, concert and vaudeville stager, and Mrs.

Edith I. Adams, both of Bayside, and five grandchildren. Services were held at the home last night. Burial will be. In Cypress Hills Cemetery this afternoon.

Mr. Haisted was a member of the New York Produce Exchange for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Garden City Country Club, Lincoln Club, Westhamp-ton Country Club and a life member of the Crescent Athletic Club. He was a deacon of the former Clinton Avenue Congregational Church, now the Community Church. funeral Mrvlcei will be conducted tomorrow at pin.

In the Clinton Avenue Community Church, Clinton and Lafayette tor Gilbert Coutant Haisted, 80, retired cotton and burlap bag manufacturer, who died yesterday In his home, 308 Washington Ave. The Rev. Mr. Hals ted retired eight years ago as active president of E. S. Haisted 84 Pearl Man an old Brooklyn family and resided for many years in Williamsburg, where she was born. Her father, the late Ellas Gregg, was an engineer of note.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Isabel C. Haisted, whom he mar' Boulevard, Long Island City, who retired in July last year after 50 years' service with the Consolidated Edison Company, died yesterday at the Flower-Fifth Avenue Hospital, Manhattan, where he underwent an operation. He was 69. Mr.

Herrlin also was prominent in Masonic activities, being a member of Advance Lodge, 635, F. Si A. York Commandery, K. Kismet Temple, A. A.

O. N. M. and John M. Cahill, ried May 5, 1887; two sons, Harold C.

and Gilbert C. Jr. of Garden Long Island, died yesterday of a heart attack while en route to work at the Sutphln Boulevard station of the Long Island Railroad at Jamaica. Mr. Monahan, who lived here at 183 W.

Lena was 63. Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Monahan had been living here for the past 17 years. He Is a former president of the Holy Name Society of the Holy Redeemer Church of Freeport, past grand knight of Bishop Molloy Council, K. of Freeport, and a charter member of Mercler Assembly, Knights of Columbus.

i Well Known Compositor Headed Own Company Nelson Stinson, 67, of 178-02 Croydon Road, Jamaica, widely-known typographer and one of the charter members of the New York Machine Composition Association, of which ho was formerly president, died yesterday of a heart attack at his home. Mr. Stinson was a pioneer in the trade type composition field and founded his own firm at 130 Cedar Manhattan, more than 30 years ago. He also was a charter member of the New York Employing Printers Association and was a member of Clinton Lodge, F. A.

and LongI Grotto and the International Trade Composition Association. Mr. Stinson was born in Brooklyn and lived in Jamaica since 1923. Ha was a member of St. Thomas P.

E. Church here and later Joined Grace P. E. Church In Jamaica. He is survived by a son, Dwight Stinson.

Services will be held at Former Plumber hattan, which his father founded In 1876. He resided in Brooklyn for more than 65 years. Born in Mamaroneck on July 3, 1860, he was City; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Pflug of Plandome; a brother, William M. of East Orange, N.

and five grandchildren. Veteran Rites Tonight For William E. Coles Members of Comrade Post, 987, V. F. will hold services tonight for former Deputy Fire Marshal William E.

Coles, who died Tuesday at his home, 242 Sterling St. Commander Charles L. Cline and Chaplain Edward B. White will be in charge of the services, which will John M. Cahill of 421 Warren he was graduated from Lafayette a lifelong resident of he old 10th the Royal Arch Masons.

He was a native of Sweden and had lived in Queens for the last 40 years. Surviving are his widow, Isabella; Ward, died yesterday at his home. He was formerly for 50 years In the plumblg business and was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Gilbert Coutant Haisted a son, Dr. John B.

Herrlin and three grandsons, John 3d, Douglas be held at the home of Mr. Coles. The funeral will be held tomorrow, with a solemn mass of requiem at St. Francis of Assisi R. C.

Church. He is survived by a son, William of Freeport; three brothers, Bernard and Joseph of Brooklyn and James of New Jersey, and three sisters, Mrs. Helen Holt and Mrs. Anna Weiss of Brooklyn and Mrs. Rose Tierney of Freeport.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later today. and Richard. Masonic rites will be held at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Agnes R. C.
