COMMUNION BREAKFAST The annual communion breakfast of the Holy Name Society of the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help will be held today in the Oriental Beach Cafeteria at Manhattan Beach. Hyland, treasurer, and Patrick Casey, secretary, The communion mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. in the lower church, after which special bus transportation will be provided to take the men directly to the Oriental Beach Cafeteria. The breakfast entertainment will include a list of prominent speakers, singers and storytellers. The George Huncke Round Table Club will hold a bunco and card party on Thursday.

There will be refreshments, dancing and entertainment after the games. RELIEF SOCIETY DANCE A dinner. will be given for the benefit of the Jewish Consumptive Relief Society of Denver, by the Brooklyn Division this evening at the "Casino in the Air" of the Hotel Montclair, Manhattan. Celia Solovei of 450 West End Manhattan, announces the engagement her daughter, Miss Bess Solovei, to Dr. Lew A. Hochberg of the medical staff of the Brooklyn Jewish Hospital. The wedding will take place in June. BRETSCH-LEWIS Mr.

and Mrs. Emil Bretsch of 68- 36 Orville Forest Hills, formerly of Brooklyn, announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Estelle R. Bretsch, to Daniel Lewis of Rego Park on Wednesday. The wedding will take place in the Grace Lutheran Church in Forest Hills on July 5. Miss Bretsch has taken an active part in the social life of Forest Hills since leaving Flatbush several years ago.

She now acts in an official capacity in the Young People's League of Grace Lutheran Church and on the editorial staff of the Grace Church Messenger, a monthly church magazine. Miss Bretsch is a graduate of Haaren High School. Mr. Lewis attended Newtown High School, schools of journalism and short story writing and the Life Insurance Institute of New York. At the present he is affiliated with an insurance company and is also a regular contributor to the Forest Hills-Kew Gardens Post.

The June class, 1930, of St. Saviour's School will hold a class reunion Thursday evening, June 25. FAREWELL PARTY Mr. and Mrs. J.

(Photo by Carlton.) 7TH ANNUAL DANCE The Junior Federation of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities will hold its seventh annual Spring dance on Saturday evening, June 13 beginning at 8:30 o'clock, in the Oriental Pavilion at Manhattan Beach, it was announced last night by Samuel' Weinberg, president. The proceeds of the affair will go to support 25 affiliated agencies of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities. Jules J. Fox is general chairman of the dance committee and Myron A.

Ellis is vice chairman, Donald Keller is treasurer and Miss Grace Strain Bachman, secretary. The Junior Federation of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities has a membership of 1,600. The officers are: Samuel Weinberg, president; Jacob M. Dennes, first vice president; Neil Leiblich, second vice president; Miss Hannah Goldfarb, third vice president; Miss Jewel Baar, secretary; Nathaniel E. The Spring dance this year at Manhattan Beach Is to be called the "Manhattan Merry-Go-Round." The first official rally for the annual Spring dance of the Junior Federation will take place tomorrow, 8:30 p.m., at the Hotel Granada. BENEFIT BAZAR the spaghetti night feature. OFFICERS ELECTED Plans are under way for the annual benefit bazar of the Pallatine Sisters of Charity to be held the week of June 15 at St. Thomas' Hall, announces Salvatore Basile, who was named general chairman of the event for the second consecutive year. Thomas Imperiale, vice chairman. In addition to taking charge of the various booths she is also supervising special features for the bazar. Ann Hankinson. RADASSAH NEWS The tree-planting ceremony in Prospect Park in honor of Henrietta Szold will take place today at 2 o'clock. The speakers at this OCcasion will be Judge Mitchell May, Assemblyman Albert D. Schanzer, Rabbi Abraham M. Heller, president of the Brooklyn Board of Jewish Ministers; the Rev.

J. Lane Miller, pastor of the Central Methodist Episcopal Church, who recently visited Palestine; Mrs. Adolf Slomka, honorary president of the Brooklyn Chapter of Hadassah; Mrs. Isidor Taub, president; Mrs. Joseph Horowitz, vice president; Mrs.

David Sobel, treasurer and chairman of the tree-planting committee. The program will include 500 Hadassah Buds, children from 7 to 13 years of age, who will present a tableau in song -American and Palestinian songs--under the leadership of Mrs. Wilma Schwabacher and Mrs. Alice Schneiderman. The Pride of Judea Children's Home Band, consisting of 28 uniformed boys, will furnish the music.

This ceremony is sponsored by the Brooklyn Chapter of Hadassah and the occasion will mark a dual honor to Henrietta Szold, who recently celebrated her 75th birthday and because she is the "mother" of Hadassah, which was organized 24 years ago and now numbers close to 50,000 members throughout the country. The planting of the tree will take place in the Honor Grove, near the statue of John Howard Payne, author of "Home Sweet Home." The committee is headed by Mrs. David Sobel, assisted by Mrs. Slomka, Mrs. Isidor Taub, Mrs.

Joseph Horowitz, Mrs. Max Blumberg, Mrs. Wilma Schwabacher, Mrs. Boris Orgayevsky and Mrs. William Plans are being formulated for Hadassah's garden party at Greystone, the estate of Samuel Untermeyer, Yonkers, on Wednesday, May 20.

Special buses and private cars will convey the Hadassah party. Mrs. L. J. Moss is chairman.

SPRING FESTIVAL The seventh annual Spring festival, in the form of a supper -dance, will be held at Sherry's, Manhattan, next Sunday by the members of the Flatbush League of the Brooklyn Hebrew Home and Hospital for the Aged. FIFTH FORM PROM The annual Junior Prom, sored by the members of the Fifth Form of the Polytechnic Preparatory Country Day School, will be held at the school in the Commons Hall Saturday evening. William Warner is chairman the music committee, Donald Bruce of the floor committee, Frank Boyle the publicity committee and Walter Coakley of the ticket committee. BISHOP McDONNELL DANCE The committee for the annual CAMP FIRE GIRLS The Aizukpa Camp Fire Girls will hold their fifth annual motherdaughter banquet on Friday, May 22. The committee in charge will be announced at the next meeting, at which time the election of officers will also take place.

Camp Fire's Silver Jubilee will be opened on May 18 with a national hookup on WABC. Miss Berji Mouradian, a Brooklyn Camp Fire Girl, will be the soloist and the chorus will be composed of a group of Camp Fire Girls. The hiking group will go to Tibbetts Brook Park Saturday. Any girl attending should be at headquarters at 10 a.m. Miss Bernice Remer will be in charge.

The Camp Fire group meeting at the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Jamaica, under the leadership of Miss Lanita Boss, has organized a basketball team and would like any Camp Fire teams to play against. For the benefit of the Blue Birds, which is the junior organization of the Camp Fire Girls, a children's Spring party and fair will be held at the Church of the Saviour on Friday evening from 6:30 to 9:30 the program beginning at 7:30. The musical program is under the direction of Ebba Braathe, Norwegian composer -pianist, whose pupils will present as a special feature a "Springtime Suite." compositions written by the children, and a vote will be taken interesting composition, as well as the best written manuscript. Ebba Braathe is also the musical director of the Young Dancers Theater. The dance program is under the direction of Pieter Dominick.

There also will be an art exhibition under the direction of Miss Henrietta Carter; the crafts be sponsored by Mrs. Earnest Eddy; the booth of antiques by Charles W. Morrison, and Mrs. Henry Schurr chairman of the refreshment committee. Mrs.

Sara B. Bettina Von Muller is their leader. ST. BRENDAN'S ALUMNAE Miss Mary Ballon entertained the members of the Medical Mission Unit of St. Brendan's Alumnae at her home, 1921 Avenue on Tuesday. Among those present were the Misses Angela Kellr, Catherine Kenny, Kathleen Lynch and Frances McLaughlin.

The next meeting will be held in June at the home of Miss Kathleen Lynch, 1614 E. 9th Street. HAHN-SHIPLEY Mr. and Mrs. George A.

Hahn, 97 87th have announced the engagement of their daugther, Miss Ruth Hahn, to David Gregg Shipley son of the Rev. Malcolm A. Shipley of Hoboken, N. J. Miss Hahn was graduated from Bay Ridge High School and attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs.

Mr. Shipley was graduated from Lehign University, class of '33. where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, No date has been set for the wedding. Summer formal of the Bishop McDonnell Alumnae met recently at the home of Miss Mary Cullen, 401 Marlborough Road, to complete their plans. The dance will be held at the 1 Hotel Commodore, Manhattan, June 12.

Rudy Blank and his orchestra will play. The honorary chairman of the dance is Miss Rosemary Ahern; chairman, Miss Rita Kelly; co-chairman, Miss Esther Ledwith.
