City Scene Of Various Events Special to the Brooklyn Eagle Garden City, Nov. 18-Mr. and Mrs. Le Roy J. Weed of Cathedral Ave.

will entertain tomorrow afternoon in honor of Dr. John C. Adams, president of Hofstra College, and Mrs. Adams, who will reside on Westbury Road. A Thanksgiving dessert bridge was given by the candy table committee of the forthcoming Cathedral Guild bazar at Cathedral House yesterday afternoon.

Mrs. Claude G. Williams, chairman, and Mrs. John L. Hall, co-chairman, were assisted by members of the committee.

Mrs. Rudolf K. Kind of Locust chairman of the recent bazar of the Garden City Community Church, gave a luncheon at the Cherry Valley Club on Thursday to entertain her aides on the committee. Mrs. Herbert K.

Mount of Meadbrook Road was a tea hostess on Wednesday to the Westminster Chapter, D. B. E. Outstanding among the events of the the eighth annual ball sponsored by friends of Mercy Hospital. This affair, under the direction of a committee which Frank A.

McCrodden, also of Brooklyn, at Grace Protestant Church. The Rev. Clifford S. Kidd, pastor, and the Rev. Walter S.

The bride wore a white satin gown with a train and long tulle veil. The headpiece of the veil was caught with orange blossoms. The bridal bouquet was of white roses and iris. The matron of honor, Mrs. Ruth Kraehling of Glendale, wore a blue satin and chiffon gown with a flowered headpiece and blue veil.

She carried talisman roses. Miss Muriel Arnold of Woodhaven, a cousin of the bride, and Miss Margaret Thompson of Flatbush were the bridesmaids. Both wore pink satin and chiffon gowns, flowered headpieces with pink veil and carried pink roses trimmed with a pink bow. Dorothy Grace Johnson, a niece of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a gown of pink satin and chiffon, blue pink flowered headpiece and carried a colonial bouquet.

Ensign Howard J. McCrodden, brother of the bridegroom, was best man for his brother. Everett L. Johnson, brother of the bride, and Albert Abrams ushered. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Rivoli Restaurant.

He has recently returned from serving overseas as an army correspondent for Yank magazine, and participating in the invasion of France. Upon their return from a wed: ding trip Corporal Cunningham will resume his assignment on Yank, the army weekly.
