Lucy Lauridsen and Mis Florence Marshall; a son, Edward Wells, in Southold, will be held here tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in the First RAL Special to the Brooklyn Eagle: QUAYLX HAI Methodist Church. Burial will be at Commach. Beside his daughter, Mr. Burr is survived by his widow.

Special to the Brooklyn Eagle Stamford, Sept. 28 Prl ate funeral services will be held for the Rev. Richard Russell Upjohn, 81, former rector of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the Advent, 27th Ave. and 75th Brooklyn, who died Thursday at his home, 99 Stamford here. Mr.

Upjohn retired from active ministry In 1927 after a career for many years In Protestant Episcopal churches In the New York area. He was rector of the Church of the Advent for ten years before his retirement. He also was a curate at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin and the Church of the Transfiguration in Manhattan. Mr.

Upjohn was a member of an old Brooklyn family, being a son of the late Richard M. Upjohn, noted Brooklyn church architect He was married In 1905 to Harriette May Wescott. Surviving Mr. Upjohn are two daughters, Mrs. Stephen B.

Lillie A. M. Burr. Newspaperman, 40 Well Known Reporter Was Guild Official Thomas Joseph Cassidy, 40, a reporter on the New York Dally News for the last 12 years and a vice president of the New York Newspaper Guild, died yesterday at his home, 315 E. 46th Manhattan, following an Illness of several months.

Mr. Cassidy, who during his career as a reporter covered many important assignments for the News, including the Lindbergh kidnaping, perhaps was best known for his scoop of the Dick Merrill Harry Rlchman feud and their forced landing in Newfoundland on their return transatlantic flight in 1936. Born in Boston, Mr. Cassidy be Mattltuck. Sept.

28 The body of Francis Turnell, 23, of Southampton, one of the members of a sailing party of four who met disaster in a storm on Great Peconic Bay, Sept. 24, was found today in the bay off here police reported. Turnell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Turnell of Southampton.

The body of Barbara Meschutt, 21, another member of the sailing party, was found in a lagoon at Nassau Point, near Cutchogue, Sept. 26; the girl's sister, Florence, Dr.HarryG.Keltner, 21, and Arthur Dayton, 22, other members of the party, are still missing. Mexican Border Fights Dr. Harry O. Kettner, 52, veterinary superlntenedent and surgeon of the 51st Cavalry Brigade, died yesterday at the United Marine Hospital, Stapleton, I. Dr. eKttner, who lived at 61 Oansevoort Boulevard, Meiers Corners, Staten Island, was a well known figure at horse shows and equestrian exhibitions.

Born on Staten Island, he was a graduate of New York Unlversitq and in 1916 was a National Guard veterinarian on the Mexican border. He served overseas as a lieutenant in the Veterinary Corops during the World War and received Army commendation for his work. On his return from the war he became assistant State veterinary of Georgia and served in that position until 1923, when he returned Helen Gregory Cassidy, and his funeral services for Herbert C. Hinrichs, 51, retired broker, of 39 Plaza who was killed when he fell from a window of his apartment yesterday, will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Fred Herbst Sons Funeral Home, 83 Hanson Place.

Mr. Hinrichs, who had formerly been in business in Manhattan, had complained of severe head pains shortly before he plunged to his death, according to the police. Mr. Hinrichs is survived by his widow, Florence; a son, Herbert Hinrichs and three brothers, Otto, Julius and Walter Hinrichs. Burial will be private.
