Thursday night, Sept. 2, will inaugurate the weekend with a dinnerdance. The following evening the Tennis Dinner will be held and Mrs. W.

Scott Blanchard, chairman of the tennis committee, will award the prizes for the season. The Atlantic Beach Club backgammon trophy will be played for on Saturday afternoon and a polo ball in hon of the visiting Argentine polo players, who will compete in the national championship matches at the Meadowbrook Club on Sept. 11 will follow. Aquatic events in the pool and exhibitions by noted swimmers and divers will be the highlight of Sunday afternoon. Mrs.

James W. Maitland, chairman of the swimming events committee, will present the prizes won the meet. A tea -dance and dinner-dance will follow. Larry Siry and his orchestra will supply the music. On Labor Day a baseball game will be played between the East and West sections of the club.

A gala dinner-dance in the evening will conclude the season. Following this date the clubhouse and restaurants will be closed. The cabanas. bath houses, swimming pool, squash courts, tennis courts and buffet will remain open until Sept. 30.

Church, and was followed by a breakfast and reception at the Hotel Bossert. The Rt. Rev. Mons. Fitzgerald officiated.

Mr. Madden is the son of Joseph R. Madden of 1205 Dean St. and the late Mrs. Madden.

The bride's dress was of white satin, with high neck and princess waistline. Her veil was white net caught at the head into a Juliette cap of white satin. She carried a mother of pearl prayer book with white ribbon and spray of lilies of the valley instead of the traditional Do bouquet. Miss Esther sister of the Ledwith, bride, was maid of honor. Miss Ann Ledwith and Mrs.

Charles Hempstead were bridesmaids. The best man was Paul Doran. Thomas Ledwith, James McGee, Charles Hempstead and John Rooney were the ushers. Auxiliary Tour The Ladies Auxiliary, Brooklyn Council, 60, Knights of Columbus, 373 9th will conduct a tour and reunion over the Labor Day weekend. The members and their friends will go to historic points in Virginia and Annapolis.

Poets Congress The Congress of American Poets, holding its sessions on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays of each week, in the Historic Arts Galleries, Barbizon-Plaza Hotel, Manhattan, listened to a program last Sunday given by the Poetry Forum. Florence chairman of the Forum and national chairman of the Congress of American Poets, spoke on the "Pitfalls on Parnassus." She also spoke on "Are Poets Born or Made?"
