Kennedy, Active Methodist Central Church Member, Home Official 30 YearsRites Monday-Was 82 Mrs. Martini Kennedy, for more than 40 years an active member of the Brooklyn Central Methodist Episcopal Church and long a member of the board of managers of the Methodist Episcopal Home for the Aged, died today in her home, 661 Decatur St.

She was 82. Mrs. Kennedy was born in Charleston, S. but was brought to Brooklyn by her family when she was an infant. She was a member of the home's board of managers for nearly 30 years and also had been long active in the Home Missionary Society of the Methodist Church.

Her husband, Charles S. Kennedy, died 20 ye ars ago. Surviving are a son, Stuart Kennedy, who is associated with the Curtis Publishing Company, and a daughter, Miss Ruth Kennedy, with whom Mrs. Kennedy. Funeral services will be held the parlors at 1178 Bushwick Monday at 3:30 p.m.

Burial will follow in Evergreens Cemetery. John J. Conefrey, Police Honor Man John J. Conefrey, for 12 years patrolman attached to Traffic Squad dide today at his home, 675 Park Place. He had been commended six years ago for an act of heroism.

On May 29, 1931, a woman and child were trapped in a blaze in the kitchen of their home at 321 Stone the and went back Ave. Patrolman, Conefrey carried into child, burning house to save the mother, who had been seriously burned. He had been ill but a short time. Heat hastened the end. He had passed recent tests for promotion to the rank of sergeant, and was awaiting his appointment.

Patrolman Conefrey was Brooklyn-born. He was educated in St. Patrick's School, at Kent and Willoughby Aves. He is survived by his widow, Frances; his parents, John and Catherine Conefrey, and a brother, Frank. Funeral plans are awaited, Mrs.

C. G. Childs, Senator's Widow Mrs. Caroline Goldsmith Childs, 70, widow of State Senator John Lewis Childs, founder of the village of Floral Park, died today in her home, 92 Tulip Floral Park, after a short illness. Mrs.

He suffered an attack of measles three weeks ago and a few days later was stricken with more serious complications. The father is the only near relative surviving, the boy's mother, the former Anna Beatty, having died in 1933. Obituaries MRS. CATHERINE McAREE BEPLER died yesterday at her home, 123 Huron St.

Born in County Monaghan, Ireland, she had lived 52 years in Greenpoint. A son, William; draughter, Mrs. Florence Barberite, three nephews and a niece survive. Requiem mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning at Alphonsus Church, and Interment will follow 111 Calvary Cemetery. SUSAN H.

ADAMS, 70. A resident of Brooklyn 38 years, died yesterday in her home, 94th St. She was born in for, Ireland. Her husband, Joseph J. Adams, and two daughters, Muriel Adams and Mrs.

Royal Young, survive. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 4 p.m. in the home. Interment will be private. MISS HANNAH TOBELMAN, formerly of Brooklyn, died yesterday at her home in Ridgewood, N.

where she had lived for 12 years. She was in her 65th year. Funeral services will be held in Ridgewood at 3:30 p.m., Monday. MRS. DEBORAH A.

ROBSON died yesterday at her home, 67 Linden at the ARe of 67. She was a life resident of Brooklyn. Her husband, Charles, has been a B. M. T.

inspector for 35 years. She leaves four daughters, Jennie, Elsie, Charlotte and Ee. The funeral service will be held at 16 Palmetto St. Monday afternoon, with interment at Evergreens Cemetery. MRS.

MARY HORAN, 61, a life restdent of Brooklyn, died yesterday in Cumberland Hospital after 8 three-month illness. She lived at Hicks and Amity Sts. and was for many years a parishioner of St. Peter's R. C.

Church, where a requtem mass will be offered Monday. The funer 1 will be held at 9:30 a.m. from 115 Atlantic Ave. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

Surviving are a daushter, Mrs. Florence E. Kinney, and 8 brother, Michael Murray, JOHN H. CARTER, 72, died yesterday in his home, 1118 Gates was the husband of the late Mary Carter. Three daughters, Mrs.

Catherine Dunn, Mrs. Nora Mooney and Mrs. Rose Kaveney; two sons, Daniel and James, and a sister, Rose O'Toole, survive. The funeral will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the home.

A requiem mass will be offered in our Lady of Good Counsel R. C. Church, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery, JAMES M. WRIGHT, salesman for the Liebmann brewing concern, died yesterday at his home, 200 Rutland Road, following an emergency operation. He was a member of Ridgewood Lodge, F.

and A. and had belonged to the Bushwick Wheelmen in the bicycling days. His wife, Mrs. Gerttrude Swith Wright, died 12 years ago. He 1s survived by three sisters, Elizabeth Stanley, Charlotte and Anna, and a brother, John.

Services will be held Monday evening at his late home, with interment at Evergreens Cemetery, MISS AGNES G. MULDOON, life-long resident of Brooklyn, died after a brief illness Thursday in her home, 204 Dean St. She had been A11 active member of the Rosary Society and Sacred Heart Society of St. Paul's R. C.

he had been a resident of Brooklyn more than 60 years. His home was at 120 Bay 17th St. In his early days, Mr. Cochard held membership in the Harlem Boat Club' and the Veruna Boat Club. He participated in many regattas of both clubs, sailing his own boats.

When illness necessitated his retirement from active business, he turned to experimenting and' veloped the compound which he personally manufactured and sold. He died Thursday in a local hospital. Surv.ving are his widow. Mrs. Emma Flookner Cochard; a son, William.

Russell. Ex-State Counsel Washington, July 10 (P)-Charles Allen Russell, 61, former solicitor of the Federal Power Commission, died today. He was special counsel on utility matters to Franklin D. Roosevelt while the latter was Governor of New York. Since then he had served Miami, Lockport, N.

and WilkesBarre, as special counsel in enctric rate cases. Born on a farm in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin, he was graddated from Depauw University in Chicago. He was a Spanish War veteran. John J. Mahoney A requiem mass was sung today in the Roman Catholic Church of the Incarnation, Hollis, for John J.

Mahoney, 65, retired paper salesman, of 89-25 205th Hollis. He died Wednesday night after a year's illness. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Mahoney lived in Queens 23 years.

His father maintains a stable racing horses trained by Earl Sande, former ace jockey, including Sceneshifter, which ran second in the Belmont Stakes Official of Numerous Companies Mr. Howard was graduated from the Sheffield Scientific School at Yale University in 1919 and studied later at Oxford, where he became the first American in 46 years to win. the annual steeplechase. He was president and treasurer of the Aetna Power Company and an executive of the Maxwell Paper the Howard Paper Compampantia the Dayton Envelope Company, all in the Middle West.

He was a member of several polo and country clubs in various parts of the country. Surviving. in addition to the widow, are four children, the youngest two weeks old. EDWARD S.
