1. DI GIACOMO, 73, FORMER MISSIONARY, DIES Mrs. Mary Di Giacomo, who, with her husband, the Rev. Francisco Di Giacomo, served as a Presbyterian missionary for more than years, died of a heart attack last night while attending services at the Bushwick Presbyterian Church of Peace, Bushwick near Menahan St. She was 73 and lived at 1107 Madison St.

Di Giacomo was with her husband, her daughters, Mrs. James Hindle and Dorine Di Giacomo, and her son, John Di Giacomo, when she was stricken. She 1s also survived by a son, Emanuel; sister, Emmalina Trapani, who is retired Presbyterian missionary, and two grandsons. Mrs. Di Giacomo Was born in Palermo, Italy, She attended teachers' training school in Palermo and taught school there and 1 in Trabia, In 1903 she came to this country and while doing missionary work she renewed her acquaintance with Mr.

Di Giacomo, whom she knew in Italy. They were married in 1904. The same year they became missionaries for the Presbyterian Church in the Mohawk Valley section with their first assignment at Schenectady. They also served in Albany, Lockport and Rome, N. Y.

In 1918 they came to Brooklyn to take charge of the old St. John Mission, Central Ave. and George and St. James Mission, Elton St. and Arlington Ave.

They retired in 1924 but continued their work Mrs. W. J. Darrow, Wife of Patrolman Mrs. Grace I.

April 19 (U.P) -Pierre Lorillard, nationally known sportsman and a member of the Lorillard tobacco family, died yesterday of a throat infection. He was 61. Lorillard, a major on the staff of Gen. John J. Pershing during the First World War, was an outstanding horseman and developed the army remount service shortly before the war broke out.

He secured well bred horses from sportsman friends to use for improving the breed of the army cavalry. Later he was commissioned a lieutenant colonel. He was a classmate of President Roosevelt at Harvard in 1904 and was a member of numerous sports and social clubs. He was not married. S.

B. Williamson, World War Veteran Samuel B. Williamson, who with the 11th Engineers overseas in World War 1, died Friday in Veterans' Hospital, Kingsbridge Road, the Bronx, after a long illness. He was born in the ago, and for 30 years employed Fort Hamilton section 55 years ones by the Knickerbocker Ice Company. Mr.

Williamson also was in the ice business for himself for several years, Prior to his last illness he was employed in the Marine Basin Shipyards, Ulmer Park. Funeral services will be held at 8 tonight at the John J. Darraugh Sons Funeral Home, 8813 5th Ave. The burial tomorrow will be in the U. S.

National Cemetery, Pinelawn, Mr. Williamson never married. E. J. Powers, War Veteran, Queens County Civic Leader Funeral services for Edmond J.

Powers, civic leader and war welfare worker, who died Saturday in his home, 31-21 55th Woodside, will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, in the David Frankfield Sons Chapel, 317 N. 52d Philadelphia. Interment will be in Arlington Cemetery, Mr. Powers was director of the Commercial and Industrial Division of the Greater New York Fund. Last year he served as Queens director of the U.

S. O. campaign fund and previously was Queens director of the Greater New York Fund. He served also in various capacities for the Red Cross. From 1926 to 1933 Mr.

Powers was executive secretary of the Chamber of Commerce of the Rockaways. H. Bothwell, 63, Retired Secretary Special to the Brooklyn Eagle Garden City, April 19 Herbert Cass Bothwell, 119 Meadbrook Road, for 30 years secretary of the old Bond and Mortgage Company, died this morning at Nassau Hospital, Mineola. Born in Albany, 63 years ago, he attended Albany Academy and was a Union College, Schenectady, graduate. Mr.

Bothwell joined the mortgage company in 1902 and remained with the concern up until Oct. 1, 1941, when it was taken over by the Manufacturers Trust Company. He then worked for the latter company until his retirement July 6. 1942. Mr.

Bothwell was a member of the Cherry Valley Club and the old Crescent Athletic Club. Surviving are his widow. Mrs. Florence Bennett Bothwell: A He is survived by a brother, John Williamson; a sister, Mrs. Ann Huyck and four nephews.

Continued from Page FINN WHO DIVED AS SHIP SAILED FREED HERE Martti Kortelain, 29, a Finnish seaman who jumped overboard from his ship as it was leaving New York on April 6, to seek medical treatment, was discharged after hearing on a vagrancy charge in Brooklyn -Queens Night Court last night. Kortelain told Magistrate Jenkin R. Hockert that he arrived in New York on a Finnish merchantman after another ship on which he was a crew member had been torpedoed. As a result of this experiense, he said, he had suffered from pains behind the eyes. The ship's master would not permit him to leave the ship to see a doctor, he said, so when the vessel sailed he jumped overboard.

After swimming around in the bay and the East River for four hours, he was picked up by a navy tug near the Brooklyn Navy Yard and was taken to Cumberland Hospital, suffering from submersion. Pneumonia developed. When Kortelain was discharged from the hospital yesterday, Detective Edward Devine of the Classon Ave. Station took him in custody on the vagrancy charge. In dismissing the case after hearing Kortelain's story, Magistrate Hockert remarked that the defendant apparently had suffered enough.

Unless otherwise specified in this Rate Schedule, rates and charges are stated on monthly basis. In the ordinary course of business, meters are scheduled by the Company to be read and bills are rendered at intervals of one month (monthly--28 to 33 days) or of two months (bi-monthly-56 to 66 days). The Company prepares such schedules in advance. Where demand meters are installed for billing purposes the Company will schedule meter readings at intervals of one month. When meters are scheduled to be read and bills are rendered at intervals of two months, the monthly rates and charges for service will be prorated on a two-month basis.

Where the Company schedules meter readings every two months. the Customer shall nave the option of reading his meter for the monthly period immediately succeeding the Company's scheduled meter reading and of securing a bill for the service supplied during such monthly period. In case the Customer elects so to read his meter and notilies the Company accordingly, the Company will furnish an appropriate form to be filled out by the Cuscomer. who shall show thereon the position of the hand on each dial of his meter on A specified date for such monthly period. and shall return such form to the Company within 2 days after such specified date.

Upon the due receipt by the Company of the form correctly showing the required data, the Company will render a bill to the Customer according to such reading for such monthly period; otherwise. the Company will read the meter and render bills at two-month intervals. The Company regerves the right to read meters and render bills at any other interval of time." Conforming changes in wording are made in subdivision "(g) Proration of Monthly Rates and and other minor changes in form are made.
