J. Meyers will be co-hostesses. The first games in a series of tournament bridges, to be sponsored by the Lynbrook Chapter, O. E. will take place tomorrow.

Mrs. Eugene Burden is in charge. Tomorrow's games will be played in the afternoon at the homes of the following members of the chapter: Mrs. Jules Schillinger, 29 Earle Mrs. Carl Haessig, 46 Winter Mrs.

The next meeting of the Lynbrook Unit of the Nassau County Home Bureau is planned for Wednesday at St. James Recreation Hall. Mrs. James Knipe will be hostess to the members of the Lucia Balcam Study Club on Thursday afternoon at her Remsen St. home.

Percy Brook give a pipe organ recital musicale at his home, 11 Derby Court, March 30, for the benefit of the club. Election of officers and committee appointments will feature a meeting of the Lynbrook Auxiliary to the South Nassau Communities Hospital tomorrow at the home of Miss Janet Cole, Northumberland Gate. Miss Ethel Ulmschneider is chairman of the nominating committee. A food demonstration, card party and tea will be held on Tuesday by the Gold Circle of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Charles Krull will be hostess at her East Rockaway home. On the evening of the same day the group will have a regular meeting at the home of Mrs. Charles Grandgerard, Rocklyn Ave. The recreation room of St.

Dole at the New York Club to be sold for the benefit of the scholarship fund. Mrs. Hubert W. Schleuning explained the work of the vocational commitee, including fact that they had more positions waiting than people to fill them. A bridge party will be given by the club for the benefit of the scholarship fund on 21 at the St.

Relief Society Mrs. George Cohen, newly elected president of the Long Island Auxiliary of the Jewish Consumptive Relief Society of Denver, will be installed with other officers at exer-, cises to precede a cocktail party tomorrow (Monday) in the auditorium of Congregation Sons of Israel, Woodmere. She succeeds Mrs.

Armand L. Bruneau. Patriotic Women Patriotic Women The Society of Patriotic Women of Brooklyn will have a luncheon and meeting at the home of the president, Mrs. Arthur C. Hamlen, 480 Washington on Thursday.

Legion Auxiliary Legion Auxiliary The American Legion Auxiliary of Kings County will present "Nifties of 1939," an old-fashioned minstrel and review on May 12. County Commander William Halloran will act as interlocutor. The end men will be members of the auxiliary. Heeren, president, is rehearsing twice a week for a joint concert with the Kings County American Legion Glee Club to be held at the Academy of Music on March 19 at the countywide Americanism meeting. After the concert the group will start rehearsing for the contest at the Auxiliary convention at Albany, Sept.

The Great Neck League of Woman Voters will meet on March 17. Alfred Mayhew, superintendent of the Great Neck Schools, will speak. A county session of the Nassau County League of Woman Voters will be held in the gymnasium of Adelphi College, Garden City, on Friday. Dr. Paul Dawson Eddy, president of the college, will preside.

The guest speaker will be Dr. Luther Gulick of Columbia University whose subject will be "Education for American Life." The chorus the Great Neck Woman's Club 43 voices will present their annual Spring concert on Tuesday evening, April 25, in the clubhouse, under the direction of Hugh McAnis, Mrs. Fuller Jarbeau is chairman of the committee. The Philanthropic Committee of the South Strathmore Women's Club will sponsor a food sale on Wednesday afternoon in Munsey Park Center, prior to the regular meeting of the Womens Club. Mrs.

The club will sponsor a dessert bridge at Hidden House in Great Neck on April 17. Mrs. Clinton Murray has been appointed chairman in charge by the clubs president, Mrs. Joseph Carr. Tea will be served. The current events chapter will meet Thursday morning to hear Mrs. Walter Savell speak on "Viewing Our Today With Intelligence Rather Than Emotion." On March 14 the current readings chapter will meet to hear Carolyn Coggins speak on "The Birth, Life and Death of a Book," and on March 28 will gather again. The art chapter will meet on March 15 for the fifth in a series of lectures on art appreciation, by Andrew Popoff. Le Cercle Francais will meet on Friday at 82-28 Abington Road, Kew Gardens, and on March 24 at 81 Greenway, Terrace.

The music present Bernard Gabriel, concert, pianist, and Emile Renan, baritone, in a program of French music on March 27 at the community house. The drama department will present "Over the Teacups" on March 21 at the community house. Mrs. W. R.
