Airline Operations Deferred One Day Scheduled airline operations to and from LaGuardia Field, North Beach, will be postponed from Dec. 1 until Dec. 2, Dock Commissioner McKenzie announced yesterday at the close a meeting of the New York Municipal Airport Operations Committee, comprising various interline committees of airline personnel.

The Dec. 1 opening "did not fit in with the plans of the city," Commissioner McKenzie declared. The four major airlines holding leases at LaGuardia Field announced earlier in the day their new schedules, a summary of which indicates that Newark Airport will have about one-third of its usual traffic after schedules become effective. MAJOR LINE FLIGHTS American Airlines schedules 66 flights daily in and out of New York, of which 22 will stop at Newark. United Air Lines will stop nine of its 23 daily flights at Newark, and Transcontinental and Western Air will use the old Jersey airport as a "way station" on 12 of its 26 daily flights.

The final schedule of Canadian-Colonial Airways has not been settled. No announcement was made as to what Eastern Air Lines, now operating 18 flights in and out of Newark, was going to do after Dec. 2. It is understood that officials of the line have been negotiating with city officials for hangar space at North Beach, but have been unable to reach agreement. The T.

W. Benjamin Franklin flight from Chicago, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia will be the first plane of any airline to arrive on schedule at the Queens airport at 12:03 a.m. on Dec. 2. One of the line's "million mile pilots" will be at the controls.
