Line's General Counsel, Vice President, Came To New York in 1900 George Dallas Yeomans, 71, vice president and general counsel of the Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit Corporation and its subsidiaries, died suddenly at 7 a.m.

today at his home, 575 Park Manhattan. Born in Little Valley, N. on May 9, 1867, he was the son of James Dallas and Cornelia E. Yeomans. His father was a member of the Interstate Commerce Commission under Presidents Cleveland, McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt.

He was graduated from Yale in 1890, and was admitted to the bar in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1891, practicing first in Sioux City, Iowa. Later he went to Buffalo, N. and was admitted to the York State bar in 1893, after which he practiced in that city. He was Democratic candidate for District Attorney of Erie County in 1899. Came to New York in 1900 Mr.

Yeomans came to New, York in 1900, and on Sept. that year joined the law firm of Sheehan Collin, counsel to the old Brooklyn Rapid Transit Corporation. In August, 1901, he was appointed direct negligence and land general attorney, to the B. R. T.

in damage litigation. On Aug. 1, 1905, Mr. Yeomans was appointed counsel for the B. R.

T. in generate of all legal and claim matters, and remained as general counsel to the receiver for that corporation from Dec. 31, 1918 until June 14, 1923. With the organization of the B. M.

T. in 1923, he assumed the post he held at his death, The B. M. T. subsidiaries for which Mr.

Yeomans was listed in a similar capacity are the New York Rapid Transit Corporation, Brooklyn Bus Corporation, Williamsburg Power Corporation and the South Brooklyn Railway Company. Member of Many Clubs Mr. Yeomans was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, the Society of Colonial Wars, Sons of the Revolution, the University Club, the Rockaway Hunting Club, Wolf's Head and Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Surviving are his widow, the former May Baldwin Stoddard of Boston, whom he married in 1895, and daughters, Mrs. George P.

J.S. Graham, Realtor. Dies Continued from Page 1 properties included the Hotel Touraine here and Beach on Staten Island. half owner Woodland, of Graham Beach and a former owner of Midland Beach on Staten Island. In recent years poor health had caused a curtailment of many of Mr.

Graham's varied activities. Recently he published his autobiography, "A Scotch-Irish Canadian Yankee." Established Playgrounds One of Mr. Graham's major interests was providing outdoor recreation for children and fostering athletics for young people. While residing at 1707 Beverly Road, he was host to a group which in 1911 formed the Flatbush Playground Association, of which he later became president. As this body developed playgrounds, they were taken over by the city.

The Flatbush Playground Association united with the Brooklyn Parks and Playground Committee, of which he also became president. As a part of this work, Mr. Graham provided outings for the children at Midland Beach. For a time he operated a line of excursion boats between the Battery and beach, and the children made the trip on his boats. When the line was discontinued, they were carried without charge by the city ferry and bus.

Sponsored Meet With Eagle About ten years ago Mr. Graham, in conjunction with the Brooklyn Eagle, sponsored a swimming race from Midland Beach to Coney Island. Mr. Graham's interest in young people caused him to take an active part in the work of the Y. M.

Republican Club, the Brooklyn League, and many other bodies. Born in Canada on Feb. 10, 1862, he was the son of John a and Margaret Graham. He was educated at Northwestern University and the Kent College of Law, and aided in the formation of the Northwestern University Club of New York. Until he transferred his business to his home a few years ago, his office was at 26 Court St.

Mr. Graham was married at Evanston, on Oct. 19, 1896, to Jennie M. Sanborn, a classmate at Northwestern, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Ben S.

She was secretary to the late Dr. Leo Kessel, who was head of Mount Sinai Hospital and was secretary to Dave Hennen Morris when he went to Belgium as U. S. Ambassador. She was with Ambassador Morris in Belgium for two years.

When she returned, she worked with George Sylvester Viereck before going with Mr. Seldes about three years ago. Mrs. W. E. Sprague, Wife of Banker Special to the Brooklyn Eagle Baldwin, March 28-Mrs. Eva Louise Sprague, 65, of 87 Harrison died yesterday after a sixmonth illness at the South Nassau Communities Hospital, Oceanside.

She was born in Brooklyn and her father, the late John Deacon, was head of the well-known Brooklyn jewelry firm of Deacon Brothers. For 35. years Mrs. Sprague taught Sunday School in the Baldwin M. E.

Church, and for many years was organist and pianist. Services will be held afternoon at 2 p.m. in the church, with the Rev. Eugene Schrigley officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead.

She is survived by her husband, W. Edward Sprague, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Bourdette of Milan, Pa. Mr. Sprague is vice president of the Second National Bank of Hempand president of the Hempstead Lions Club.

Dr. Voltz was a trustee of the Richmond Hill Savings Bank and a former director of the Hillside Trust and Savings Bank of Richmond Hill. Pioneer in Use of X-Ray After graduation from the New York College of Pharmacy, Dr. Voltz received his degree of doctor of medicine from Long Island College Hospital in 1908.

He was graduated with high honors, being awarded a valedictorian gold medal. Later the same year he entered the department of roentgenology at Mary Immaculate Hospital, Jamaica. Dr. Voltz was recognized as a pioneer in the use of X-Ray. He was a fellow of the American Medical Association, a diplomat of the American Board of Radiology and a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the New York Roentgen Society and the Associated Physicians of Long Island.

In Brooklyn Roentgen Society He also was a member of the Association of Radiation Therapists of America the Brooklyn Roentgen Society, the Kings County Medical Society and the Association of Physicians of Greater New York. He was a past master of Hillside Lodge 894. F. A. M.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Aimee Bossert Voltz, whom he married in 1907; daughter, Miss Dorothy Alberta Voltz; his mother, Mrs. Katherine L. Voltz, and a sister, Mrs. Dora H.
