Civitas Will Have Luncheon At Savoy Plaza Hotel May 15 Annual Spring Event Planned by Club; Aaron Copland Will be Guest Speaker Civitas will hold its annual Spring day, May 15, at the Savoy Plaza, Aaron Copland, who has just returned wood, will speak on "Music for the Mrs. Earle P. The members of the Junior League of the society, dressed as flower girls, will act as an escort to the guests of honor. The invocation will be given by Dr. Emmet Fox, pastor of the Church of the Healing Christ. Mme.

Gene Pinnera, dramatic soprano; Jube Boyde, musician; Beatrice Howell, impersonator, and others of stage and radio, will entertain. Vincent Sory's orchestra will play. Rochester Alumnae The University of Rochester Alumnae Group in New York held its annual meeting and election of officers last week, with the retiring president, Mrs. A. N.

Richardson, presiding. The election followed luncheon at the Therese Worthingtr 1 Grant Restaurant. Daniel May of Englewood, N. was elected president and Miss Jane Rambeau was elected vice president. Miss Mildred Wilexecutive secretary of the cox, Brooklyn Y.

W. C. was elected secretary. Re-elected as treasurer was Mrs. Carl Gilt (nee Clara Hoffman) of Brooklyn.

Miss Mildred E. Fagan, public relations secretary of the Girl Scout Federation of Greater New York, was elected public relations chairman. Friendly Tourists The Friendly Tourists Club met: at the home of Mrs. Frederick Alfred, 546 1st on Wednesday. Reports were given by chairmen of committees after which two papers were read.

The first, "Old Dutch Masters," was given by Mrs. F. DeLysle Smith and the second, "Holland in Tulip Time," was contributed by Mrs. Newton C. Spitz.

A money donation was given to the Anna Potter Schenk Memorial for the work of the daily vacation bible school. Mrs. Schenk was former president of the club. Others present were: Mrs. Bert C.

Mrs. Charles Smith and Mrs. Lewis R. Knapp are the club's delegates to the New York City Federation Convention on Friday at the Hotel Astor, Manhattan. Mrs.

Knapp entertained the group at her home, 843 Carroll recently with the president, Mrs. Augusta Comstock, presiding, Mrs. Teunis Huntting, treasurer, and Mrs. M. John Lolis, secretary, gave their reports.

The music and art committee had charge of the program. Mrs. Frederick Koke read a paper on the contrast between modern and classic art; Mrs. Charles Smith read a paper on bells and Miss Marie A. Stillwell sang, accompanied by Jessie Kraemer Nesbitt.

Delphian Groups Plan Meetings The Linden Chapter of Delphians held a regular meeting at the Flatbush Library on Tuesday.

Mrs. Raymond Cambern, president of the chapter, was discussion leader with "The Climax of Moderhism' in Art and Background of American Art" as her topic. The Flatbush Chapter of the Delphians will meet on Thursday at the Brooklyn Museum. "Why Britain's 20 Century Supremacy Is Diminished" will be the subject for study with Miss Jane Hunter as leader. Other members will take part in the discussion.

The Ridge Chapter will meet on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the home of Mrs. Bayard Carson, 243 80th St. The subject is "The Era of Eminent Victorians and Triumphant Liberalism." Spring Festival Plans To Be Made Wednesday Plans for the Spring festival of the Woman's Board of the Church Charity Foundation on May 16 will be completed at the monthly meeting of the board to be held on Wednesday at a.m. in the nurses' residence of St. John's Hospital, 1557 Atlantic Ave. Mrs. Divine F.

Burtis, president, will preside at the meeting. Following the meeting luncheon will be served, and in the afternoon beginning at 2 o'clock the Home for the Blind Committee of the C. C. F. will sponsor bridge party in the solarium of St.

George Muhlenberg is chairman of the event. The proceeds of the party will go toward the committee's sales table for the Spring festival. The festival will open with a service at 11:30 a.m. in St. John's Chapel.

The Babbott Club, awarded to the class having the largest percentage of members present, was given to the class of 1890, which celebrated its 50th anniversary. There were 13 out of 15 living members present and some brought their grandchildren as guests making the total at the table 23. The Alumnae Plate was awarded to the class of 1915, celebrating their 25th anniversary. The plate goes to the class having the largest number of members present, which was 33. Other classes celebrating reunions were 1910, 1920, 1925 and 1930.

Elmira College Club The annual Spring luncheon of the Elmira College Club of New York will be held Saturday at the Men's Faculty Club of Columbia University. A report on the recent annual concert for a Finnish scholarship will be given and plans will be made for the awarding of the scholarship.
