Sorf McCann Wedding Lido Beach, Aug. 26 Miss Doris Rita McCann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. McCann of Long Island City and Lido Beach, was married at 4 p.m.

this afternoon to Edward R. Sorf at St. Mary of the isle Catholic Church in Long Beach. The Rev. Father Buckley officiated at the nuptial mass.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Dr. Walter J. McCann of Manhattan, and was attended by her sister, Miss Hazel McCann. The best man was George Harrington of New Canaan, uncle of the bridegroom. The bride wore a bouffant gorwn of white moussellne de sole and a large picture hat of white horsehair braid.

Her bouquet was of lilies of the valley and gardenias. Her sister wore pink organza and carried a bouquet of sweet peas. Her headdress was a pink maltne turban. Following the services a wedding dinner la being given tonight at the Lido Country Club. Mr.

and Mrs. Sorf will go to Her-shey. then make their home In Merchantvllle, N. where Mr. Sort is a chemical engineer.

Mr. Sorf, who is the son of Mrs. Rudolph Sorf of Manhattan and the late Mr. Sorf, was educated in New York University. His bride received her education at Hunter College and has sine been connected with the legal department of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.
