PENDLETON DIES; EX-HOSPITAL BOARD CHIEF Dr. Judson Philbrook Pendle-pital ton. former president of the medical board of the Coney Island Hospital, and of the Brooklyn Pediatric Society, died yesterday at his home, 125 Park Place. Funeral services will be ducted at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at his residence.

The Rev. Dr. Benjamin C. Bentley, pastor of the Memorial Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Dr.

Pendleton had been a practicing physician in Brooklyn since 1898 and a specialist in children's diseases. He been connected with the Coney Island Hospital for 30 years, 25 of which he spent as chief of its pediatric service. Recently, he was awarded a medal for distinguished medical service to the institution. He was also chief of service at Kingston Ave. Hos and had been on the consulting staffs of the Cumberland St.

and Methodist Episcopal Hospitals. Pendleton was a direct descendant of Brian Pendleton, who came to Westerly, R. in at Islesboro, Dr. Pendleton attended Bucksport, Seminary and was graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1898. He was a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a member of the Kings County Medical Society and the American Medical Association.

His first wife, the former Elizabeth Emerson, died in 1911. Surviving are his second wife, Mrs. Eysie Lyon Pendleton, formerly of Bangor, two brothers, Winfield S. of Brookand Lester L. Pendleton of Kianhattan, and four Mrs.

Lizzie Haberstitch, 104; Lived Through 5 U. S. Wars Huntington, Jan. Lizzie Haberstitch, 104, who has lived to see five wars and outlived four generations of her own family, will be buried in Woodlawn Cemetery here tomorrow, following funeral services in Funeral Home, New at 10 a.m. The Rev.

Smith, a resident of Brooklyn for 35 years. was killed Monday at Newport News, when he fell into the hold of an oil tanker he surveying. He was born in New Jersey and in the first World War served as a lieutenant in the navy. For many years he was chief engineer on coastwise vessels for the Grace Lines. He was a member of the Robert L.

Haberstitch was 101, she called on Mr. Connell to make arrangements for her funeral which, she said, would be "any day now." A resident of Elwood, she died on Tuesday at Huntington Hospital. A native of Germany, she was born on April 2, 1843, and came to this country when very young. She moved to Elwood 35 years ago. Her only survivor is a great grandniece, Mabel Rahof Freeport.

She was the widow of Robert Grimmel Glidden and a brother of the late Dr. Martin Sloat, Brooklyn physician Since 1925 she had lived with her daughter. She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Church, and formerly for 30 years was treasurer of the hospital committee of the Church Charity tion. She also was representative of St.

Bartholomew's Church on the woman's board of the Church Charity Foundation, and a member of the Woman's Community League. She also was a member of the Froebel Choral Society. Surviving also are two granddaughters, Mrs. William H. Bar.

Sal Tascarella, 71, Hospital Fitter Salvatore Tascarella, 71, president of Tascarella Brothers, manufacturers of hospital furniture and equipment, of 52 Java died on Tuesday at his home, 711 Bushwick Ave. Born in Italy, he came to the United States 50 years ago, and founded his business in 1901. He designed many types of hospital equipment, including a table used in the treatment of fracture cases. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Giovanna Tascarella; four daughters, Mrs.

Income from the fellowship of $34,200 will be awarded on an annual basis, and will defray, in part, compensation of a man or woman selected to do investigative work in one of the college's basic science or clinical departments. Funds to support this project were subscribed by the savings banks of the State of New York and other interested friends and associates. Under the chairmanship of Frederick Gretsch, president of the Lincoln Savings Bank of Brooklyn and 'a director of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the memorial committee obtained donations from 76 savings banks and individuals as a tribute to Mr. Benson.
