Hayes, a ventilating engineer of 320 8th died today at the Brooklyn Hospital at the age 47. He was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Warburg Burial Tomorrow Four Sons to Be Pallbearers--Many Messages of Condolence Received Funeral services for Felix M. Warburg, financier, philanthropist and outstanding Jewish leader, will be held tomorrow o'clock in Temple 5th Ave. and 56th Manhattan. He died yesterday at his home, '1109 5th after an illness of less than three days. While messages of condolence poured in by the thousands, and prominent officials and churchmen of other religions described Mr.

Warburg's death as a great public loss, members of the family have decided that the only pallbearers will be his four sons, Frederick Gerald Paul F. S. and Edward M. M. Warburg.

The family declined to make public the messages of sympathy, but many officials made public statements concerning their sentiments. Governor Sends Condolences Gov. 1 Herbert H. Lehman was among those who extolled the character and career of Mr. Warburg.

He said: "I am shocked and grieved beyond words to hear of the untimely death of Felix Warburg. He was one of my most beloved friends and I took deep pride in his friendship. For more than 30 years I have been privileged to work with him in the closest association in civic, and religious activities. charitable, every way a wonderful man great American and a great Jew-beloved and respected by all who knew him." Mayor LaGuardia "I am saddened to hear of Mr. Warburg's untimely death.

We were close burg was socially minded and every friends for many years. Mr. War- worthwhile cause met his immediate and generous response. The city has lost a distinguished citizen and he leaves a large circle of friends who admired and loved him." Henrietta Smith, a native of East Rockaway but who had lived in Freeport since she was 17, died yesterday at her home, 29 Bedell St. She had lived for 45 years in the same house. She was 78. Mrs. Smith was the Capt.

Abe Smith, owner of Freeport's last remaining oyster house, the headquarters of old-time waterfront men. Captain Smith's birthday each year is the excuse for a dinner there at which oyster pie and clam chowder attract county, town and village offcials and others to the place. The old oyster house was a busy spot in the days when Freeport was a center Mrs. for Smith oyster was a fishing. member of the Daughters of Liberty and of the Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. A. Gordon MacRury, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery.

Beside her husband Mrs. Smith is survived by five sons, Mervin Stanley Harold Capt. Clifford H. and Clyde T. Smith; two daughters, Mrs.

Elizabeth S. Brower and Mrs. Gladys S. Briggs; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Miss Jacobsohn, Taught 35 Years Miss Romaine Esther Jacobsohn, a teacher in the public schools of the city for 35 years, died Tuesday night in Mount Sinai Hospital.

She was 59. At her death Miss Jacobsohn was on the faculty of Public School, Belle Harbor. She attended the Normal College, now Hunter College, as well as Harvard University and College of the City of New York. She was a member of Hadassah, Order of Eastern Star and a worker in the Federation of Jewish Charities. Surviving are a sister, Mrs.

Harold W. Phillips, and three brothers, Dr. William, Aaron and Meyer Jacobsohn, all of Manhattan. Catherine Fuehrer Mrs. Catherine Fuehrer, who lived in Brooklyn for 35 years, died yesterday at her home 209-63 111th Queens Village.

She was born at Kenoza Lake, Sullivan County, N. and was 73 years of age. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ethel L. Squires Mrs.

A staunch Republican, Wellman was retained assistant clerk of the Senate when Democrats gained control several years ago. He was a brilliant parliamentarian. The tall, gray-haired Wellman, who close friend of Democratic wand Republican Governors alike, was best known for his reading voice.

Jews Praise Mayor For Aid to Labor Mayor LaGuardia, in receiving a delegation of orthodox Jews at City Hall today, took an indirect political slap at Controller Frank J. Taylor. William Weiss, national president of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, who headed the group, told the Mayor that intelligent and prompt intervention in differences arising between capital and labor had won for him the regard of employers, labor and the public.

He also said that the public is obtaining the maximum benefit from the expenditure of city funds under the LaGuardia administration. The Mayor replied by stating that relief in New York City was over-ridden by politics when he assumed office and that people seeking help were shunted from pillar to post. Dr. Lawrence Sr. Dies in 79th Year Practiced Here 50 Years -On St. Catherine's and St. Cecilia Hospital Staffs Dr.

Andrew Wilson Lawrence Sr. Brooklyn physician, died on Tuesday at his home, 278 Jefferson in his 79th year after a short illness. He was born in Brooklyn July 12, 1859, son of Wilson and Ellen McClosky Lawrence. He graduated from New York University Medical School in 1881. He was a member of Kings County Medical Society, New York State Medical Society, Associated Physicians of Long Island, American Medical Association and Loyola Council, Knights Columbus.

He was on the staff of St. Catherine's and St. Cecilia's Hospitals and surgeon for the Delaware and Lackawanna Railroad. He practiced medicine in Brooklyn for 50 years and remained in active service til his death. Dr.

Lawrence is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rose Gorman Lawrence; three daughters, Mr. Paul D. Murphy, Gladys and Rita Lawrence; and a son, Dr. Andrew Wilson Lawrence a brother, Irving S.

Lawrence; two sisters, Mrs. A. G. O'Donald and Mrs. Florence Hearns, and ten grandchildren.

McNamara With Military Honors Joseph McNamara, who was a member of the Fire Department for 17 years, was buried with departmental honors from his home at 115-96 225th St. Albans, yesterday.

Fireman McNamara died while fighting a fire at 311 8th St. He was 41 years old. The Fire Department Band led the funeral procession. In the line of march were two battalions of 100 firemen, a delegation from the Uniformed Firemen's Post of the American Legion, a guard of six mounted patrolmen and a detail of 30 policemen.
