3, 1946 21 William H. Higgins, Thomas W. Kenny, World War Vet Park Dept. Official to be the oldest in New York City, 127 years ago. The younger Mr.

Klauberg went to work for the firm in 1907, after graduating from St. Francis Xavier College in Manhattan. He became a clerk, then general manager and in 1920 was elected president, in which post he continued to his death. World War I Mr. Klauberg served with the navy in sub-chaser patrol work.

He came to Brooklyn in 1922 and was a former member of the old Crescent Athletic Club. He was unmarried. Besides Commander Klauberg, he is survived by another brother, Charles J. Klauberg, vice president of the cutlery firm, and a sister, Mrs. Marguerite Klauberg Butler.

Rites Tomorrow For Dr. McCafferty A solemn requiem mass will be celebrated tomorrow, 10 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Church, for Dr. John A. McCafferty, for 40 years a phycician here, who died Friday at his home, 547 Argyle Road.

Born in Manhattan 70 years ago, Dr. McCafferty served for 18 years as a physician for the United Fruit Company until his retirement seven years ago. He was a member of numerous medical societies and was a graduate of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. Surviving is a sister, Mary, of 547 Argyle Road. James M.

Duffy, 12, Ex-Customs Guard Funeral services for James M. Duffy, 72, retired customs inspector, who died Friday at his home 768 E. 35th of heart ailment, will be held there at 4 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. Samuel Kornmann, director of the Lutheran Inner Mission Society of Brooklyn, will officiate.

Burial will be in Green- Wood Cemetery. Mr. Duffy, a life-long resident of Brooklyn, entered the customs service in 1908. He retired four years ago. He was a member of the Royal Arcanum.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Memorial Park. Mr. Higgins who was mustered out of the army last Oct. 24, after more than two years' service, died Friday in the Veterans Hospital, Kinsbridge Road, the Bronx, after four months' illness. He was born Brooklyn and attended Alexander Hamilton High School before going to work for the Socony concern.

He was a past district deputy the New York State Council, K. of grand knight of Brooklyn Council 60, K. of and a trustee of the borough council. He was husband of the late Catherine M. Grady Kenny.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eileen Traphofner; a son, Thomas E. Kenny; a sister, Mrs. Mary Boehme, and a grandchild, Kathleen Traphofner. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
