The executive committee of the alumnae, which consists of at least two representatives from every class from 1928 to February, '43, meets the first Tuesday of each month at the school. Mrs. Theodore T. Hazlewood Jr. of 8801 Shore Road, president of the Brooklyn Vassar Club, entertained the members of the executive committee at tea on Saturday afternoon. Plans were made for the Scholarship Fund of $500 that is awarded annually to a Brooklyn girl entering Vassar.

This scholarship is open to any girl on a competitive basis. Selection is made by a committee from both public and private schools and the choice is based on character and personality as well as academic training. James Weber, Chicago and Indianapolis, officer in charge of navy recruiting for Indiana, and Mrs. Max de Jong Evansville, were attendants at the ceremony in Indianapolis, which was followed by a dinner in the Indianapolis Athletic Club. Chief and Mrs. Wilson will make their home in Indianapolis, where he is headquartered at the main recruiting station, and is currently in chrage of radio and publicity for navy recruiting in the State of Indiana. Before her marriage Mrs.

Wilson had been a member of the Evansville (Ind.) Press editorial staff since her graduation in 1937 from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, where she was a member of Phi Betaa Kappa, Mortar Board, Chi Delta Phi and Cwens. She also was president of Theta Sigma Phi, national journalism sorority, was vice president of the Association of Women Students, associate editor of the Kentucky Kernel, editor of the Book, editor and founder of Thru Y's Eyes, Y. W. C. A.

publication, and was winner of the first and third national prizes in the 1936 intercollegiate shortstory contest sponsored by Chi Delta Phi. In her junior year she won the scholarship given to the university's outstanding junior woman. and in her senior year was named to Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges. Chief Wilson was director of navy rallies in Indiana cities during the first six months of the war, having enlisted on Dec. 26, 1941.

Before his enlistment, he was news commentator and public events for Westinghouse radio stations in Ft. Wayne, Ind. He attended Central High School, Muncie, and Southeastern Louisiana College, Hammond, was district circulation manager for the Muncie Evening Press, and announcer -production man for WLBC, Muncie.
