The borough is expected to contribute about 196.000 inductees to the various services. compared with 155.000 for Manhattan, 100,000 for the Bronx. 93,000 for Queens and 12.000 for Richmond. Registration will be carried lout between Aug. 30 and Sept.

In the recent war his ship was torpedoed off Trinidad. and he and members of the crew were forced to take to a lifeboat. After 13 days at sea the crew managed to put ashore on an island near Venezuela.

For years after World War he was in the navy. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Wright Sullivan; two sisters. Mrs. Ann Hughes and Margaret Sullivan, and a brother.

He is a member of the Youth Commission of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island and the committee on education and veterans affairs of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
