Filipinos, 209 Concord of which the Rev, Cesario Tierra is minister. The program will start at 4 p.m. with the showing of a patriotic film: "The Philippine Republic." The memorial service proper will start at 5 p.m., with Mr.

Tierra presiding. Addresses will be made by Mateo Occena, purchasing agent, hwe for the Philippine government, and Juan Nabong, layman prominent in Philippine church activities, who arrived in the United States this week. An obituary of Mr. Roxas will he read by the late President's niece, Carolina Sanz. Similar services will be held at 7 p.im tomorrow in Manhattan's Church of the Filipinos, 213 E.

Mr. Abel, who retired in 1942, died on Thursday of a heart attack at his home, 255 Cedar Patchogue. For 30 years he was secretary of the Flat bush Democratic Club. Born in Brooklyn he spent many years in Flatbush. He was a life member of Ridge wood Lodge 710, F.

A. Al and of De Witt Clinton Council, Royal Arcanum. A com municant of St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church, Hawthorne near Nostrand he had served for many years as a vestryman. In Patchogue he belonged to St.

Paul's Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Abel; two sisters Airs. Florence Rule and Etta Abel; and two brothers, Peter and Ferdinand Abel.

Mass Is Offered For Pfc. Merron The funeral of Pfc. William J. Merron, one of the Pacific war dead recently returned to this country, was held today from the Clavin Funeral Home, 496 Court St. A solemn requiem ma.ss was offered in Holy Name R.

C. Church, 9th and Prospect Aves. Private Merron, who lived at 511 12th was killed in action on Iwo Jima Feb. 19, 1945, while serving with the Marines. He was the son of Mrs.

Annie O'Reilly MerroiK and the late John Merron. Also surviving are four sisters. Mrs. Esther Siegler, Mrs. Sadie Ryan.

Mrs. Grace Salato and Margaret Anne Merron, and two brothers, Richard and I.t. John Merron of the New York Fire Department. Pvt. Eugene Farrell Riles in Northport Northport, April 24 A re quiem mass for" Pvt.

Eugene Farrell, son of Mrs. Louise Far rell, who was killed in France on July 24, 1944, was offered yesterday in St. Philip Xeri C. Church here, followed by interment in St. Philip's Ceme tery.

Military services were held at Cusick's Funeral Home, East Northport, by Tolman D. Wheeler Post and Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Private Farrell, 24 when killed, entered the service on June 12, 1942, and served with the Tank Destroyer 3(ith Division. He is survived by his mother, a daughter, three brothers and a sister. Tony Formosa Northport, April' 21 Tony Formosa, 63, for 26 years a tailor on Main was buried today in St.

Philip's Cemetery after a solemn requiem mass had been offered for him in St. Philip Neri's R. C. Church. Mr.

Formosa, who died Wednesday, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Faustina Longobucco Formosa; a son, rank; two orotners. Emil and Frank, and a sister: who lives in Italy.
