Peterson, formerly of 5205 7th will be buried with military honors at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in the National Cemetery, Farmingdale. He was one of the war dead recently returned from Europe. Private Peterson, a member of the 262d Regiment, 66th Infantry Division, met his death on Christmas Day, 1944, when his transport was torpedoed the English Channel. He then 27.

Born in Brooklyn, he was graduated from Manual Training High School and then attended City College. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Millie Peterson and a brother, Edwin of Port Washington. Mr. Betz was born in Brooklyn and spent his entire life in the borough. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Prior to going to work for the United States Lines, he was with the New York Port of Embarkation, Stapleton, S. I.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Katherine Hickey Betz; a daughter, Catherine, and three sons, Henry, Gerard and Edwin. Gerard is a student at St. Fran'cis College. St.

Evers, vice of the Mack International Motor Truck Corporation, and one of the pioneers in the motor truckwilling sales field, died suddenly yesterday in his home at 1601 Beverly Road. He was 74. For the last 30 years he had been associated with Mack Motors, specializing in the sale of heavy duty trucks and buses. He also sold the first buses used on 1st and 2d Manhattan, by the East Side Comprehensive Omnibus Corporation. Born in Silver Lake.

Mr. Evers started his business career in Philadelphia and then came to New York Prior to joining the Mack concern he was sales manager for the Garford Truck Company. He had lived in Brooklyn for 35 years. Many years ago Mr. Evers became a resident of the Summer colony at Sayville.

He was a member of the National Democratic Club, the Whitehall Club and the Montauk Club. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Kathryn Lynch Evers; a son, John Lynch Evers; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Doyle, Mrs. Madeline Bronson and Mrs.

Helen Sheridan, and 13 grandchildren. The body is reposing at the home of his son a at. 23 Brompton Road, Rockville Centre. A solemn mass of requiem will offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday St.
