Mothers of Poly Prep Students To Visit School The Lower School Mothers' Day at Polytechnic Preparatory Country Day School will be held tomorrow when the mothers will live their sons' lives, going to classes, to play and to lunch with them. After lunch they will have coffee in the Alumni Room. The wives of trustees who have sons in the school will assist the faculty in receiving them.

The mothers of the First Form officers will pour coffee. Later in chapel J. Folwell Scull headmaster, will greet the mothers and address them on "What the Independent School Offers." Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of tiers of Chantilly lace over white satin. Her fingertip-length veil of French illusion was attached to a cap of shirred tulle trimmed with seed pearls. She carried butterfly orchids and stephanotis. Miss Patricia Anne Carden was her sister's maid of honor. Her gown was of azure blue tulle over taffeta with a velveteen midriff and short velveteen cape.

She carried a star-shaped bouquet of pink rosebuds and violets. The other attendants were Miss Elizabeth Claire Carden, sister of the bride; Mrs. George P. Carden, and the Misses Veronica Carden, Kathleen and Maureen McAuley, cousins of the bride, and Pauline Flynn, all of Bay Ridge. They were similarly attired in turquoise tulle and velveteen and carried pink rose buds and violets.

Francis O'Shaughnessy, brother of the bridegroom, acted asl best man. The ushers were John Gucklan of Port Chester, IN. Joseph O'Neill, A benefit performance of Maurice Evans in "Dial For Murder" at the Plymouth ter, Manhattan, will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 2 by the Tiny Tim Society, Ladies Auxiliary of the House of St. Giles the Cripple.

The House of St. Giles the Cripple, located at President St. and Brooklyn gives to the crippled child in its care a most complete and specialized (program of orthopaedic ices. School instruction is given by teachers by the New York City Board of Education. In to the orthopaedic hospital in Brooklyn a convalescent home and school is maintained in Garden City.

Berk Jr. Are Engaged Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rothfield of 48 E. 73d announce the betrothal of their daughter, Miss Phyllis Rothfield, to Otto George Berk Jr.

of Brooklyn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto George Berk of Del Mar, Cal. Miss Rothfield is an alumna of the Calhoun School and William Smith College, Geneva, N. Y.

She is attending Columbia University and will receive her M.A. degree in February. Mr. Berk was graduated from Polytechnic Preparatory Country Day School and Hobart College, Geneva. He also attended Cornell Law School.
