The midsummer days have come, the happiest of all the year for the boys nd girls of the schools. All the nerve-tacking tests and examinations have been held, all those who have done good work have been marked for promotion or graduation, and the majority are liappy. Most of them will be Just as happy when the schools reopen on September 14, because this is going to be a long, an unusually long, vacation. The Model School of the Training School for Teachers held its graduating rxercises yesterday morning in the spa-pious assembly hail of the school. Miss Molow, head of the school, presided.

One bt the features of the exercises was an original dramatization by the members of the graduating class, entitled, "Some Incidents in the History of the City of Kow York." There were four scenes. The first was the Indian, and the school sang "My Bark Canoe," and the arrival of Henry Hudson, September, 1609, on the lower end of Manhattan Island, was depicted. TMs was followed by Scene II Dutch Colonial: The surrender of New Amsterdam to the English, September, 1664, on Bowling Green, New Amsterdam. Scene III English Colonial and American: Inauguration of George Washington, April 30, 1789. in New York City.
