The decline has been largely the result of disappointing export demand. Europe showing absolutely no interest, and outside of the Lisbon busiuess trsde has been at a standstill. While this has been the case as regards exports, premiums on cash heat have been advanced at tho seaboard, and shippers state that there is very little wheat available for export until opening of navigation. The report of farm reserves was construed bearishly, showing that with ordinary demand there was ample wheat for the balance of the year, as the reserves are about' the same as last year, and last year the exports for the balance of the season were 58,000,000 bushels, which was on a larger scale than the current export. The crop prospects are very favorable, and the situation Is rapidly drawing around to the point where the crop prospects will be the most Important factor lu the situation.

The trade in wheat this morning was quiet, with prices fairly steady early, easing a llttlo with the market showing absence of ective Interest. Cables were steady with small exports from India, only 240.000 bushels. Late last night ten loads were taken for export at the outports. and there was little Inquiry to-day. The weather was favorable for-wheat West.

Movement continues rather light, however, and a further good decrease in the visible was estimated. An Increase of 700.000 bushels was reported In the English visible.
