More Than Soviet, Warns Eleanor People in Asia are more afraid of the United States than of Russia, Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt said on her return from a 10-week airplane trip around the world. The former First Lady said on her arrival at Idlewild Air. port yesterday that Asiatics have a "totally unrealistic" conception of Communism and life in the Soviet Union. Many leaders still have faith in Marxism as a solution to their problems, she said.

"In the Asiatic countries, you must differentiate between Marxism and Communism. Marxism is an idea which is purely theoretical and the intellectuals there have believed for many years in it as a means of bettering life for the masses. Roosevelt said. She said the Asian peoples know of America's strength but they do not know of Russia's. "They are not afraid of Russia because they have never seen Soviet power," she said.
