Lawlor, founder and first president of the Flushing National Bank, who died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. Winthrop Tillotson, 38-09 Parsons Boulevard, Flushing, will be A held Wednesday from the M.

A. Gleason Funeral Home, 149-20 Northern Boulevard, with a solemn mass of requiem at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's R. C.

Church. A native of Flushing, Mr. Lawlor was and was the son of Patrick H. and Eliza T. Lawlor.

Before he entered the banking field he was for many years engaged in horticultural work and was one of the leading nurserymen and landscape Edwin T. Penrose, Retired Engineer Edwin T. Penrose, an electrical engineer of 502 9th died yesterday after a short illness. He was a native of Quincy, and lived in Brooklyn for more than 50 years. Mr.

Penrose formerly WAS for many years with the Public Service Company of New Jersey and the Electric Bond and Share Company. His widow, Clara L. Young Penrose, survives. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Fairchild Chapel, 86 Lefferts Place.

INgersoll 2-2569 Falls for Joe Weber, TE Curtain Of World-Famed Comedy Team Special to the Brooklyn Eagle Los Angeles, May 11-Funeral services are being planned today for Joe Weber of the famous Music Hall team of Weber and Fields, who died here yesterday after an illness of two months. Mr. Weber, who was 74. had not been the same since the death last July of his lifelong partner, Lew Fields, the other member of the act which made generations of theater. goers laugh.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lillian Weber. Joseph M. Weber was the small, fat and gullible member of the noted comedy team which set a new vogue on Broadway in the late '90s. Weber was "Mike" and Fields was 'Meyer" in their act.

Both had chin whiskers and wore loud checked clothes and derbies with very low crowns. Fields, big and overbearing, was the gag man and generally would maul his smaller partner unmercifully. Mr. Weber was born on the lower East Side of Manhattan and with Lew Fields, a neighborhood chum, formed a singing and dancing team when they were boys. They ceived a joint salary of $30 a week in their first professional engagement.

Later they toured the country obscurely for ten years until finally they were ready to organize their own show. They secured the Imperial Music Hall at Broadway and STRETCH-HERBERT of 315 Beverly Road, May 10, 1942, beloved husband of Solita Perez Stretch; also survived by his mother, Henrietta Stretch; two brothers, Harry and Walter, and sister, Mrs. Edith Pina. May 11-Three men in gray uniforms, one of them Thomas Bernstein, 26, of 468 Powell Brooklyn, were captured by county police early today after a brief escape from the State Hospital for the Insane at Orangeburg, N.
