T. LINES POWER HEAD Harris A. Robbins, prominent electrical engineer, who was superIntendent of power of the B. M. T.

Division of the city transit system, died yesterday alimena. Ridge Hospital of 1 heart after a brief illness. He was 61 and resided at' 1224 E. 24th St. Mr.

Robbins had spent his entire insincerins, career Transit with the Company, Brookentering its employ in 1901 after receiving his degree from Pennsylvania State College. He was at first employed as a sub-station operator and later was promoted to superintendent of power of the entire Rystem. He remained in that post when the B. M. T.

Elfers, 65, Air Orphan Home Aide Was Special to the Brooklyn Eagle: Oceanside, Oct. 26-William R. Elfers, for the last four years president of the Bethlehem Orphan and Half -Orphan Home, Fort Wadsworth, S. died at his home, 23 Harold here late last night. He was 66.

He had been long active in the Lutheran Church, which operated the Staten Island home, and was trustee of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Brooklyn. Surviving are daughter, Miss Edna H. Elters, and a son, Henry O. Lifers, both of Oceanside. Funeral services will be conducted Monday evening at the residence by the Rev.

John Holthusen, rector of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be private on Tuesday. Richard A. Griffin Richard A. Griffin, formerly for 15 years superintendent of the stables of the lat Battalion of the 105th Field Artillery Regiment at Clermont and Myrtle died yesterday in his home, 692 Park Place.

Mr. Griffin, who was known to hundreds of. borough Guardsmen, was born in Brooklyn and formerly was in the livery business in Herkimer St. He retired two years ago. His wife, Elizabeth, died last April.

A daughter, Mrs. George Lake, and brother, John Griffin, survive. Students Visit Fair Sixty members of the oll-burning class at Brooklyn Technical Evening High School last night visited the Petroleum Exhibit at the World's Fair as guests of the Petroleum 1 Institute. Dickey, Aquacade Manager Was Leading Figure In Exposition Field Lincoln Griffith Dickey, general manager of Billy Rose's Aquacade at the World's Fair, died of a attack yesterday in his home, 400 E. 52d Manhattan. Mr. Dickey, apparently in the best of health, had returned recently from San Francisco, where he had supervised the Rose Aquacade at the Golden Gate Exposition.

A native of Warsaw, Mr. Dickey, who was 54, was considered a leading figure in the exposition business. He was one of the originators of the Chatauqua movement and had been manager of the City Auditorium in Cleveland. Ohio, and of Convention Hall in Atlantic City. In 1936 and 1937 Mr.

Dickey managed the Cleveland Great Lakes Exposition. His association with Mr. Rose began in 1937, Mr. Dickey engaging the New York showman to produce the first Aquacade. When, i in 1938, Mr.

Rose planned to put on the Aquacade at the '39 World's Fair, he invited Mr. Dickey to be his associate and general manager. This position he held until his death. Mr. Dickey is survived by his widow: a son, Dr.

Lincoln C. Dickey, daughters, the Misses Margaret, and Patricia Dickey, all of Cleveland. Dr. Robert G. Cook, Ex-Hospital Head Canandalgua, N.

Oct. 26 (P)- Funeral services for Dr. Robert G. Cook, 76, retired head of Brigham Hall, private mental hospital here, will be conducted Monday with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery here. Dr.

Cook, whose father founded Brigham Hall in 1855, died yesterday after a long Illness. A graduate of Columbia University Medical School, he assumed charge of Brigham Hall in 1906, and retired in 1929. Prior to joining the staff of the Canandaigua institution, Dr. Cook was assistant physician at St. Lawrence State Hospital, Ogdensburg, and consulting neurologistforRochester hospitals private practice in that city.

A native of Southport, N. Mr. Robbins was the son of the late Mr.

and Mrs. William Robbins of Goshen, N. Y. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary 1 B.

Crash Victim L. I. Resident Walter Rockwell Lived For Year in Hempstead Special to the Brooklyn Eagle Roosevelt Field, Oct. 26 -Walter Jones Rockwell, 35-year-old vice president of the Waco Sales of New York office here, who was killed yesterday when a new plane he was bringing here crashed at na, N. had been a resident of Hempstead for a little more than a year.

He had come to Hempstead from Herkimer, where his parents live and where he had been married several years ago. He lived at 257 Franklin St. William Rockwell, his brother, also is employed here, with the Allor Fly- Ur -Self System, division of the Waco organization. Mr. Rockwell was flying new plane from an Ohio factory for delivery to a purchaser when the cident occurred.

Farmers who saw the accident said they heard an explosion after which the plane lost its wings and fell into some trees, where the body of the aviator was found pinned in the wreckage. British Offer Emir Throne For Arab Aid, Rome Hears Rome, Oct. 26 (P)-The Rome newspaper Piccolo published today a report, which it said came from Athens, that British War Secretary Anthony Eden had offered Emir Abdallah of Transjordan the throne of a great Arabian kingdom. if he would obtain Arab aid in the defense of Britain's position in the Eastern Mediterranean. The dispatch quoted the Emir As replying that Arabs are hostile to England.

August G. Berger, Veteran of 2 Wars Served on Concord At Manila Bay Battle Funeral services for August G. Berger, 62, a veteran of two wars, who died Thursday of a heart attack in his home, 89-17 97th Woodhaven, will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, with a solemn mass of requiem in the R. C. Church of the Holy Child Jesus.

Interment will be in the National Cemetery at Pinelawn. Mr. Berger was aboard the gunboat Concord at Manila Bay and during the World War served as an instructor at the Pelham Bay Naval Station. A native of Hoboken, he had a typewriter inspection service in Manhattan. He was a past regent of the Royal Arcanum and past counselor of Columbia Council of the Loyal Association, past commander of Schley Squadron of the United Spanish War Veterans, a member of Woodhaven Post 118 of the American Legion and was skipper of the New York Harbor United States Naval Ex- Apprentices' Association.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Reis Berger, and three children, Mrs. Helen L. Weldon, Mrs. Dorothy Knight and Edward J.

Among the theaters he designed were the Bay Ridge and Bedford theaters here and the Freeport Theater. He was well known in polo circles, formerly playing with the team of the Crescent Athletic Club. He also was active in the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, United Spanish War Veterans, the Old Guard of New York and the Knights of the Dragon.

A native of Baltimore, Major Rasmussen had lived in Baldwin for the last 20 years. Nils Brudvik Special to the Brooklyn Eagle Valley Stream, Oct. 26 Nils Brudvik, 73, who for 33 years was chief engineer on the pilot tender Sandy Hook, died Wednesday at his home, 19 Garden where he had lived alone since the death of his wife, Ingebord, five years ago. He was a member of the New York and New Jersey Pilots Association and was born at Bergen, Norway, Three stepchildren, Bernard Munson of Rockville Centre, Dewey Munson of East Rockaway, and Mrs. Lillian Gillman of Plainfield, N.

Associates of Admiral Cantu said arrangements were being made to return the body to Italy for burial. The Admiral, who also was a Senator, recently had suffered an attack of pneumonia, but had recovered sufficiently to pay a last visit to the Fair on Thursday afternoon. With him when he died were his wife, Mrs.

Adriana Cantu, and his daughter, Augusta, said by associates to have been the only members of his immediate family in this country.
