Predicted War's End by Christmas "If things keep going as they are this war will be over by Christmas," wrote Corp. Leslie Crotty of 20 Locust Malvern, to his parents on March 10. Later Mr. and Mrs. Crotty received word that their son a prisoner of the Italian Government.

Crotty had been fighting in North Africa, his mother said today, and was attached to the 34th Reconnaissance Group. Mrs, Crotty said that a soldier who was with her son North Africa and who was wounded and sent back to this country told her recently that he and Crotty had been in engagements against the enemy.
