Long Island Society Rockaway Steeplechase Ass'n To Have Spring Meet on May 8 Saturday, May 8, has been chosen for the Spring running of the Rockaway Steeplechase Association's meeting on the historically famous course in front of the Rockaway Hunting Club at Cedarhurst. The course is now being put into ness for the coming classic. Stuart F. Voss, a member of the executive committee, is supervising the improvements.

John E. Cowdin is pre ident of the association which was revived three and half years ago by a group of sportsmen interested in the furtherance of amateur hunt racing. Other officers include Frederick F. Alexandre, secretary and Robert L. treasurer.
