A. Repos- Mr. Lincoln went to the Times early in the century and after three years returned to the World as managing editor. He rejoined the Herald as managing ditor, remaining there until 1924 when the newspaper was merged with the Tribune to form The Xew York Herald-Tribune. He retired at the time but two years later he became foreign editor of the Times.

He was a descendant of Gov. William Bradford of Plymouth Colony, and a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants. In 1938 he was selected honorary president for life of the Silurians, a newspaper organization. His wife, Mrs. Annie Palmer Fisher Lincoln, died several years ago.
