Senate Group Rebuffs G. O. P. Continued From Page 1 position to public housing and slum clearance. Lacks Two Features The Senate committee, In Its action, tacked on the T-K-W provisions to a housing bill sponsored by Chairman Jesse Wolcott of the House Banking Committee.

The House bill lacks the public housing and slum clearance features. In doing so, the committee also junked a "compromise" housing bill backed by Senator Joseph R. McCarthy which provided for a five-year slum clearance program, but no public housing. It also would have prevented discrimination against children in apartment houses built with Federally-iii-'sured loans. Daddy Talks the Language Memphis, Tenn.
