"He kept telling us to keep our courage up and he told us howling Ito move our weight around to keep the capsized boat level and afloat." Missed Entrance to Lock The cruiser, with six aboard, was returning from a midnight cruise when the accident occurred early yesterday. The pilot apparently missed the 70- foot wide entrance to the lock which bypasses the 15-foot dam. Woffenden and the three were saved when boaters, four volunteer took a 50-foot sternwheeler tow boat through the swirling waters to the capsized cruiser. The crew of the towboat and the survivors climbed an extension ladder from the boat to the lock wall, Shortly after they were removed, the tok boat capsized and started breaking up. Wright's body was recovered about a quarter mile below the dam when it was brought the surface by the life jacket he was wearing.

The bodies of the other victims still were held in the water's grip. They were identified as Mrs. Krieg, 21, wife John, and Mrs. William H. Fisher 29, and William Leahy Jr.

'We're Going Over' Members of the party surviving, in addition to Krieg, were James McHugh, 24, owner of the cruiser, and Charles Reilly, 24, both of Pittsburgh. All were treated at Pittsburgh Hospital for shock and exposure. Krieg said they apparently had miscalculated how far uptream they had gone. "I saw the dam coming up, but it was too late," he said. "I shouted to the others, 'My God! It's the dam; we're going over.

We slid over bottom first." He said he made one effort to swim to the lock wall, but was forced back. "There isn't a swimmer in the world that could stay in that raging current," he said. "All during the night we prayed. What really gave us the will to live was when dawn broke and we could see all the people on each side watching the rescue operations and reallized they were rooting for us." An advertising and seaplane were used effort blimp, to drop a line to the four cling. Ting to the rapidly breaking up cruiser, but without success.

1941 Oldsmobile, 2-door sedan, Motor No, Three More Reds Seized in Tokyo Tokyo, June 12 (U.P) -Police arrested three more Communists in Tokyo today, one of them a Communist leader who went underground last week to escape arrest. Another Communist leader who went underground last week changed his mind and gave himself up, bringing to 11 the number jailed since Gen. MacArthur started a Douglas, the Japanese Community party last week. The captured fugitive was Yoichi Takagi, a Tokyo ward assemblyman charged with circulating anti-American propaganda. He had been in hiding since a warrant was issued for his arrest Friday.

The two others arrested are Kunihiko Gomo and Koreo Aoki, Communists accused of distributing anti-occupation literature. The Communist who gave himself up is Toichiro lizuka, editor of the Communist publication "Shin Sumida." He was charged with suspicion of printing anti-occupation posters. East Reich Reds Plan New 'Push' Berlin, June 12 (U.P.) -East German Communists threatagain today to cross the West Berlin borders soon for "a great peace Congress." A Western Allied spokesman replied that 11.000 American, British and French troops would shoot if necessary to keep them out. Two weeks ago the Commurists sent 500,000 youths into the Soviet sector of Berlin for a big rally. Allied firmness, including threats to use force, was credited with keeping them outside the West Berlin borders.

But statements by Communist and Soviet propagandists that "there is no law against campaigning for peace" was seen as an indication the Communists might try to make good its invasion boast. No date was mentioned in the statements. Walter B. Cooke, Inc.
