Church, Spring Lake, N. and will be followed by a reception at the Hotel Berkeley Carteret, Asbury Park, Miss Rosemarie Schwerman will entertain at a buffet supper for the bride-to-be at her home at 163 Warwick this evening. Spencer Miss Ablett Becomes Bride Of West Pointer The marriage of Miss Rosemary Emma Ablett, daughter Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward Ablett, 1483 St. John's Place, and Lt. Joseph Arthur May, United States Army, son of Mr.

and Mrs. V. Arthur May, 911 Liberty Aurora, was solemnized at a military wedding in St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church at 11 a.m. yesterday.

A double ring ceremony performed. A reception followed at the Savoy-Plaza, Manhattan. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore la gown of white lace over blush satin. His headpiece was satin and lace encircled by heather and apple blossoms! with a veil of tulle. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas and lilies-of-the-valley.

Miss Harriet T. Carey was maid of honor. Her anklelength gown of accordion pleated nylon tulle was mauve a bodice of Chantilly lace. She wore a lace bolero which matched the dress and a cascade of Spring flowers. Her hat was also of mauve tulle, trimmed with pink lilacs.

The bridesmaids, the Misses Dolores May, Agnes McGee, Rose Anne McGee and Anna McCabe, were gowned in mauve nylon tulle, just as the maid honor. Patricia McGrew, the flower girl, wore a white net gown over pink taffeta, and her brother, David, who was the ring bearer, wore a white palm beach suit. The best man was Lt. George Nigro of Philadelphia, Pa. The ushers, Lt.

DAVIS Society Editor comment Returning to the limelight in the Association of Leagues of America is the local contingent, the Junior of Brooklyn, Inc. Miss Doris Eldredge, a member of the Brooklyn group, has been elected regional director of Region IT in the association and also will serve on two of its committees. This is the first time in 22 years that Brooklyn has had a member on the association board. Mrs. Carlton H.

Palmer was on the board as a region vice president from 1925 to 1926 and as president from 1926 to 1928. Miss Eldredge was elected on her qualification and ability. She has been a member of the league for 15 years and served as president three times, vice president twice and has served on most positions on the local board. At the meeting on Wednesday the newly elected director was the guest of honor at a sherry party followed by dinner at the Brooklyn Woman's Club. Mrs.

Arthur B. Gnaedinger, the newly elected president, presided. It was interesting to note that she was using the gavel which had been presented to the league by her mother, Mrs. Edwin P. Maynard on May 6, 1931, as she retired from the presidency.

MRS. GNAEDINGER and Mrs. Edward K. Bachman, who were delegates from the Brooklyn Junior League to the annual convention of the Association of Junior Leagues of America, alternated giving detailed reports of the convention which took place in Sun Valley, Idaho, early in May. They gave resumes of the conferences heid, which were concerned with welfare, health, recreation and cultural fields, and presented the need for co-ordination, trained leadership and for additional volunteers.

Among the many prominent speakers at the convention was Dr. Thomas Dublin of Brooklyn, who is director of the National Health Council, who stressed the need for trained workers to in improving the health of all peoples of the world. Both Mrs. Gnaedinger and Mrs. Bachman presented along with the serious nature of the discussions the more human side of their trek, including time that an entire turkey dinner landed in Barbara's lap The last speaker was Miss Eldredge, who briefly told the members about her job as a director of the largest region in the association, which includes New York State and part of the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Mrs. Gnaedinger was wearing a navy blue and white polka dot print frock with a rough straw bonnet trimmed with lotus flowers. Miss Eldredge was in a maroon red figure print with a natural straw Breton sailor with tricky trimming. Mrs. Bachman was in a yellow silk shantung with a black straw.
