Church, Rockville Centre, was the scene of the wedding of Miss Margaret Theresa Walker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Anthony Walker of 392 N. Village Rockville Centre, and Malvin John Leininger son of Mr. and Mrs.

Malvin John Leininger of 24 Carter Court, Lynbrook, on Saturday. The Rev. Thomas Sheeran officiated at high noon and a reception followed at the Coral House, Baldwin. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white Chantilly lace and nylon tulle gown with a fingertip-length illusion veil attached to a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a prayerbook with white orchids.

Miss Joan Elizabeth Walker was maid of honor for her sister. She wore a frock of hyacinth pink nylon tulle and Chantilly lace over taffeta with a matching flowered wreath and she carried pink roses. William Muller of Rockville Centre was best man and ushers were Donald Ross of Rockville Centre and Robert Layne of Dumont, N. J. Mrs.

Leininger is a graduate of St. Agnes Academy, Rockville Center, and St. Joseph's College for Women. Her husband, a graduate of the University of Michigan, is an Army veteran. After a wedding trip to Bermuda, the couple will live in Baldwin.

Old Denim Puts on New Faces By BEATRICE JONES Simtex Mills, division of Simmons recent winner of the Home Furnishings "Good Design" award for their tweeds, are doing wonderful things to demin these days. No longer the plainly practical, utilitarian fabric of old, denim has' blossomed out in bright colored stripes, checks, plaids, tweeds and deep-tone solids. Inspired by the native sunshine colors of the flowers, woods, fruits and foliage of the Caribbean islands "Tropicanna" Designer Denims and Custom Cottons made their bow yesterday on the outdoor patio of Central Park's Tavern-on-theGreen. Yard squares of bamboo, papaya, hibiscus, parrot green, lemon, flame and Caribbean blue, clothes-pinned to lines strung between the trees, waved gaily, in the breezes. Along with these was the company's brand new white denim, differing from others on the market in its pureness of color and in that it can be used without lining for such fashion items as shorts and slacks.

Suggested combinations for either home furnishings or fashion teamed small and large squares, plaids, random stripes and ribbon stripes with solids. Many of the solids could be used on either side, light on one, dark on the other, for different effects. Home Decoration A striking room setting with bed, chair or couch slip coverings, dust ruffles, pillow covers or other accessories using fabrics, was suggested with the use of a large check or plaid design and two solids. This employed a plaid of Caribbean and avocado crossed with a thin line of black used in combination with solid black and avocado denim. Denim tweeds, based on the Tropicanna theme had their own co-ordinated stripes and plaids.

Tone-on-tone denims in brown or gray teamed handsomely with solids particularly if one shocking shade such as papaya, flame or parrot green was introduced.
