C. M. Fitzgerald haa disposed of a plot of twenty-flve acre on Gerritsen's Creek, below the Old Rel Mill and Mill Pond. The property lies on the east side of the creek and about half of it is under water. It is between Avenues and and comprises nearly, a mile of waterfront.

The Mill Pond, which is famous for Its oysters, is crossed by a bridge in Avenue U. The westerly side belongs to the V. C. Whitney estate and that property ad- Joins the Coney Island Jockey Club tracks. Gerritsen's Creek is the first inlet from Jamaica Bay east of Coney Island and Sheepshead Bay.

It connects with Dead Horse Inlet, on one side of Barren Island. It Is expected that the dredging of the channel to Jamaica Bay and the erection of a great harbor In that body of water will make all the waterfront of especial value. One of those Interested in the purchase of the property on the creek is Samuel Newborne. of Salt Lake City. Mr.

'itz gerald owns a large amount of property on Gerritsen's Creek and the Mill Pond, which has long been planted with oysters and clams. The Old Red Mill is one of the landmarks of that part or the bor ough and stands on the line between the former towns of Gravesend ana ut-lands. To Build Theater at Ridgewood Heights. A new vaudeville and moving-picture house 1b to be erected immediately by the Ridgewood Realty and Amusement Company. The site selected is in Ridgewood Heights, on the northeast corner of Covert avenue and Madison street, and the size of the plot is 75x30.

The building la to be thoroughly fire-proof and up-to-date, and the construction will be of brick with a seating capacity to be 850 people. The sale of the property was made by S. Blume dealers In real estate, at 31 Wiloughby street. Long Island Lots for Bronx Property. In a transaction by E.

T. The opening conclave of Damascua Commandery, K. on Monday evening last, In the Temple, drew a large number of the members together, and they had a good time renewing old friendships In the social hour. Km. Sir King presided and conferred Illustrious Order of the Red Cross.

Several petition, for membership were presented. Em. Sir William II. Patterson gave an account of the triennial al Chicago. A social hour was spent in the banquet room.

While the cool weather is approaching, the warmth of the enthusiasm in Palm Council is being displayed by the members, both by their large attendance at the meetings and the interest takn la the affairs of the council. The regular meeting held on the 8th showed that the activity of the members had not waned on account of the warm weather of tho summer, and all present were very much interested in taking up the social end of the discussions, to determine what pleasures the members and their friends and families mlKht enjoy in the future.

The orator and his entertainment committtee are very busy selecting plans for the many successful entertainments of the cuuncil' and -many of the visiting brothers, and the entire Arcanum section of Brooklyn will be surprised at the good times and pleasant affairs to be held In the near future.
