Vincent Caramona, 27 years old, of 250 Smith street, Jamaica, was removed last evening to St. Mary's Hospital, Jamaica, suffering from what was at first believed to be a bullet wound in the back of his head. Caramona told the police he had been shot by a negro whom he knew only as "Herman," in a saloon in the building where he resided. Caramona's alleged assailant escaped. At the hospital it was discovered that Caramona did not have a bullet wound, the injury had every appearance of having been inflicted with a bottle wielded in the hands of his assailant.

The wound is not a. serious one. Detectives are looking for "Herman." LEGAL NOTICES. IN PURSUANCE OF AN ORDER OF THE Ion. Herbert T.
