s. the Harbor Chapter of the Delphian Society, national scholastic organization, and the Women's Auxiliary of the Bay Ridge Day Nursery. Mrs. Salmon leaves her husband, Edwin A. Salmon, until 1957 director of the New York University Bellevue Medical Center and is now president of the American Museum of Health in Manhattan.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Richard Robinson; a son, Thomas W. Salmon, and three Harvey E. Kennedy, a retired New York City detective and former resident of Bay Ridge, died Jan. 18.

A Requiem Mass was offered Jan. 22 at St. Patrick's Church, Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Kennedy was born in Brooklyn and until six months ago was a resident of Bay Ridge.

At the tfme of his death he lived at 15 Lyn-crest Valley Stream, LX He was with the Police Department 37 years and retired eight years ANNE VERGN, BORN IN IRELAND Mrs, Madalyn Bunnell Salmon, 60, of 8023 Ridge died Jan. 19 in University Hospital, Manhattan. A Solemn Requiem Mass was offered Jan. 23 in St. Anselm's Church.

Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Salmon was born in Brooklyn and active in civic work from World War I when she assisted the Red Cross as an auxiliary nurse in various Brooklyn Army barracks. During World War II she organized Red Cross home first aid stations in Bay Ridge and adjoining neighborhoods. She was a member of MICHAEL A.

SHIEPE, MOTEL Michael A. Shiepe, 79, of Hi 86th died suddenly in front of his home on Jan. 17. A Requiem Mass was offered Jan. 20 in St.

Joseph's Church in Lawrence, Mass. Burial followed in the United Syrian Cemetery in Lawrence. Mr. Shiepe was a native of Le banon, and came to this country about 1900. He first settled in Lawrence, Mass.

For 25 years he ELIZABETH KELLY, WIFE OF Elizabeth Kelly, 81. widow of John J. Kelly, of 746 46th died Jan. 15. A Solemn Requiem Mass was offered in St.

Agatha's Church on Jan. 18. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery. The funeral was from the Bernard S.

Murphy Funeral Home, 4903 Seventh Ave. FAYETTE BY INGTON, FORMER Fayette Byington, 71, a former carpenter at Bay 35th died Jan. 17 at the Coney Island Hospital. Funeral services were held at the Fred Herbst Sons Memorial on Jan. 19.

Interment was at The Evergreens. A native of Brooklyn, Mr. Byington had moved to Pine Bluff, Wyoming. At the time of his death ago. He was a secrerarv nf rh De tective Endowment Association and a member of of the Police Holv Name Society.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Joan Kehoeand i i T-i mrs. janice orennan; a son, joiin H. Kennedy; a brother, Brooklyn federal judge, and 11 grandchildren. Clavin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Veron, widow of Benjamin Veron, was. a native of Rosker, County Monaghan, Ireland. She came to this country as a young woman. Besides her daughter, she is sur vived by a son, Benjamin Veron; a grandson, Charles W.

Gather-cole, and three great- granddaughters. The. funeral was from Redmond Funeral Home. OLIVE KNUDS0N Oline Knudsen, of 7208 Sixth widow of the late Erik Knudsen, died Jan. 21.

Services were held in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 80th St. and Fourth Ave. Interment was Jan. Evergreens." Mrs. Knudsen is survived by a son, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Gotimer, 66, of 146 78th at Our Lady of Angels Church. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Goti mer was a native of Brooklyn. She leaves her husband, George and her children, Sister Mary Eugene, S.C., Jeanne Buchanan, Thomas Gotimer, Marion Dup- per, Rev.

Mr. Goldie, a native of Scotland, was employed by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. for 35 years. He leaves his wife, Minnie; a daughter, Irene Lindblad; a brother, John; several sisters in Scotland, and two grandchildren. WILLIAM MAHONEY William Mahoney, 56, of 33Gel-ston died Jan.

19. Funeral services were held at St. Philips Episcopal Church, 80th St. and 11th on Jan. 23.

Burial was at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Mr. Mahoney, a native of New York, was an employee of F. Hutton Investment Company for 35 years. He leaves his wife, Lillian, and a daughter, Mary Jane, as well as brothers, Richard, Daniel and Vincent, and sisters, Isabelle Cramer, Agnes O'Rourke and Kathryn.

and John J. Kelly; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. CARPENTER he was on a six weeks' visit with his sister, Mrs. Florence Mc-Closkey. He was a former member of the Glenmore Athletic Club, where he played football in the 1912-14 seasons, and of the Oddfellows.

He leaves two sons, Robert F. and James W.j his sister, Mrs. McCloskey, and five grandchildren. Catholic Action Guild; the Anthon-ian Hall Guild; and her church's Rosary Society. She is survived by four sisters, May, Mrs.

Services were held at Fred Herbst Sons Memorial, on Jan. 21. Burial was at Pine-lawn Cemetery. Mr. Reeves is survived by his mother, Christine.

He was the son also of the late Louis Reeves. LAWRENCE J. RENGER Lawrence J. Renger, 68, of 8105 Fourth died Jan. 10.

He was buried Jan. 15 in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Cincinnati. Mr. Renger was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association and a retired Navy chief electrician's mate.

His wife, Marguerite, surives. A Requiem Mass for Loretta G. Dougherty, of 8908 Colonial was offered Jan. 17 in St. Patrick's Church.

Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery. Miss Dougherty, a native of Brooklyn, was an employee of the New York Telephone Co. for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Pioneers; the Bay Ridge ELIZABETH LA SALLE, 305 Elizabeth La Salle, of 305 87th died Jan. 12 at Kingston, N.Y., after a seven-weekillness.

Funeral services were held Jan. 16 at Darragh Funeral Home, 8813 Fifth Ave. Burial was at Green-Wood Cemetery. Mrs. La Salle was a native of Brooklyn and had worked for 15 ANNA JABB0UR Anna Jabbour, 71, of 1 Plaza died Jan.

21. A Solemn Requiem Mass was offered Jan. 24 at the Church of the Virgin Mary, 2nd St. and Eighth Ave. Interment was at St.

John's Cemetery. Mrs. Jabbour, a native of Lebanon, is survived by her children, Halim, Woodrow and Edward; a sister, Elizabeth, Skaf; a brother, Peter Boutross, and 12 grandchildren. The funeral was from E. Waldeck Home for Funerals.
