Neal announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Neal, to A. W. Waeuter df New Plymouth, Idaho. Consumptive Jewish Aid Society Holds Successful Whist Party. The most successful public affair held under the auspices of the Consumptive Jewish Aid Society of Brooklyn, took place at tho St.

George Hotel on Thursday afternoon, February 4. Over 600 people assembled to participate in a public whist which was given by the society in the interests of charity. Miss Etta L. Miller was chairman of the social committee. The proceeds will be used to ameliorate the condition of unfortunate sick ones.

The Consumptive Aid Society has a membership of over one thousand and has been doing splendid charitable work. Mrs. Martin H. Lutner Is the president aud she has proven herself a popular and energetic executive. Under her leadership the society Is bound to have a successful year.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Regular Democratic Organization of the Fourteenth Assembly District, of which Mrs. Daniel, J. Carroll is the president, gave a successful euchro last Tuesday evening at the club, 267 Bedford avenue. lt view of the fact that the affair had a two-fold purpose, social and charitable, there was a large attend-1 ance of members and their friends. Several attractive prizes' were distributed at the conclusion of the games.

It is the Intention of the organization to use the proceeds to assist the needy families, of which there are many in the district. Bridge Club Journeys to Spends Enjoyable Day In Country. On Thursday evening, February 4, Mrs, Emily Lewis of Wcstfiold, N. entertained the members of the Bridge Club, most of whom are Brooklynjtes. The guests were met at the train with sleighs and given a pleasant sleigh ride.
