Stewart Browne, president of the United Real Estate Owners' Association, has sent four communications to the Board of Estimate advocating the abolition of certain county orlices and the consolidation of several city departments. The first abolition suggested is 'that the office of Commissioner of Records in New York and Kings County be done away with.

Edmund O'Connor holds the office in Kings at present. Another suggestion Is that the Board of Estimate prepare a bill to legislate the Bridge Department out of office and combine its functions with thSsepf the Dock Department. He also advocates abolishing the offices of the four Park Commissioners and placing their power under one central head. The last suggestion is to combine all of the counties into one, to be known as New York County. All of the suggestions will be referred to the charter revision committee of the Board of Estimate.
